Canon 17-40L

What a beautiful lens :thumbsup2
I've read alot about it but the cost kept me away. Then last week got really frustrated with our Holiday card photo shots. Tried Canon kit 18-55mm, Canon 50mm f1.8, and Sigma 18-200mm and not real happy with any of them. Went to Adorama and ordered the 17-40L as present to self! (The 45 rebate sealed the deal :rotfl2: ) It came today and I've been taking pictures of the tree (kids not home yet), I'm so excited to have this lens for Christmas morning. :banana: :banana:

I really like mine as well....I have the 20-35mm non L which works well but the extra range on the 17-40mm works out nicely.

Will post pictures soon, had to run out yesterday in the middle of playing with the lens. DD called from school, her glasses broke during basketball practice, why she didn't wear her sport goggle for practice :confused3 ?? So had to rush to school and then to the eyeglasses place. Working rest of the week so probably won't get a chance to play with the lens until this weekend.

What I didnt' realize is how big this lens is, it's even bigger and heavier than the Sigma 18-200mm.
