Saturday May 6th - Time to go home

As part of our Discovery Cove package we had a weeks pass to Seaworld. Although we could see the Kraken from our apartment balcony we never made it here until the very last day.

We had packed all our things and headed off to Downtown Disney to use the Virgin check in and get rid of our bags.

Next it was off to Seaworld. First on the list was Kraken and Journey to Atlantis with no queues. We then watched the various shows including the new Shamu show Believe which was great.

All too soon it was time to get going for the airport. It was nice not to have our luggage with us as it was already checked in. Flight home was again in Premium Economy which is so worth it and all on time.

What I learned from this trip is that it is possible to overplan. While you definately need to plan to get the most out of a trip to WDW there were times when I would get stressed if things weren't going as I had planned. I remember trying to work out when I was actually getting some time at the pool. Overall it was a fantastic trip and we did a lot of things that were one offs like Discovery Cove, Illuminations cruise.

I wasn't sure if Mum and Dad would like Orlando but the good news is Mum, without any prompting told me that she would quite like to go back. As Ric has said he doesn't want to go for 5 years after this next Xmas trip I think me and Mum will have a girls only trip :)

Will stop rambling now!

Just caught up with all your lovely trippies, you did a great job with no notes near the end (I'm useless at making notes generally :guilty: ) I'm glad you had such a wonderful birthday and your parents were able to join you for some of it, and good for mum for wanting to go back, a mum/ daughter trip sounds like a lovely idea.
Hope you enjoy your trip :cheer2:

Hi Helen, so glad you finally finished it, it was worth the wait. I'm glad your parents enjoyed it, - I've still to persuade my Dad to try it, but I'm determined to get there one day.

I too found all the stuff I had booked to be so stressful as it seemed to take so long to get from one part of the world to the other. I wanted the people in my party who had not been to WDW to see all the wonderful things I wanted to see but it really was stressful. Worth it in the end though.

Thank you for your wonderful trip reports
