Question about exif

Why can the exif reader read some photos, but not others? Do they have that feature disabled? Thanks in advance :thumbsup2

Not all images have embeded exif data. There can be various reason there is not exif data. Some strip it, and some(mostly older) software is not capable of saving with it. Also older cameras might not embed the info. Many more reasons exist, some are intentional and some are not.
