WL refurbishing

My husband and I are OKW owners and are going to WL dec 14-22 for the first time. I read someweare they will be refurbishing the outside of it. Just wondering if some one has been there recently and how bad is it.

I hadn't heard about refurbishing VWL. Only the pool has been talked about here.

When we were there this past August, they began putting up the scaffolding at the entrance of the WL. I believe it may have been a new roof or something like that.

It was still beautiful and the way Disney renovates you hardly no that it is happening (maybe a slight exaggeration but you get the point).

At the beginning of November the scaffolding was around the outer ends of the Lodge Courtyard. You could not see the refurbishing from the Villas. You had to walk around the corner of the Lodge near the pool to actually see the work being done. It was no big deal. Have fun, it's a beautiful place!

Hi, we got back from VWL on 11/23. The only thing we saw was scaffolding on one side of main hotel (facing thewalkway to the MK boats). It was barely noticeable and there were no other disruptions. The resort is beautiful, especially with the holiday decorations. Have a great time.

We just got back 11/28. They were working on the main entry of the lodge, and on the far back left of the lodge building. Nothing on the villas side. It looked like they were taking down the scaffolding in the back left, and the work at the entry was barely noticeable.
This was our first visit to the VWL, what a beautiful resort. Seriously considering adding on some points here.
