I will try to make this my last post for a while!

I have narrowed it down to two choices: Best Western Park Place or the Candy Cane Inn. Which would you choose based on value, themeing, proximity to the parks, continental breakfast offerings, and overall cleanliness. We definitely want to be able to walk to the parks!

Thanks!

Candy Cane Inn.

No theming per se, but the rooms are really nice and upscale (down comforters, plantation shutters, small fridge, etc.) and the property is beautifully landscaped. Nice pool area with covered spa. Free continental breakfast buffet with cereal, bagels, rolls, danish, etc.

It's only 250 yards from the main gate and they also run a private shuttle service (not shared with other hotels) every 30 minutes.

You are my hero, BTW! You saved me about $1500 on my last trip to WDW! Thanks for all you do!

Any other opinions?

Thanks!

I have not stayed at Candy Cane Inn, but DH and I stayed at BW Park place. The room was clean, big, had a suite like quality. From what I remember, fridge and micro and coffee maker. A little area with a couch chairs and coffee table that was kinda separated from the rest of the room where the bed was. It is right at the pedestrian walkway to Disneyland. There is no shuttle, but really no need for one. Pool is small. Have a wonderful trip!!!!
Someone (maybe Rajah?) had some pics of the inside of the room which were pretty good. You might check some old posts.

The Park Place Inn has a better location but is not themed and not particularly interesting looking. The rooms may be bigger there and interiors are fine, nothing special. The Candy Cane doesn't really have a theme either but it is MUCH prettier and the rooms are decorated very nice. The breakfast provided is good too with a pleasent area to sit in. It is a farther walk to the parks but there is a shuttle to take if you don't want to walk.

We preferred the Candy Cane. The rooms were nice at both resorts. We like the Candy Cane's rooms slightly more. BW had the better location, but we found the parking at BW Park Place to be less than desirable. It seemed that they did not have enough parking places for all the cars. (It could be people parking in thier lot for the near by resturant). If the pool is big on your list, the Candy Cane has the better pool
