Yay ... Just joined DVC!

So we're down in Disney for the second time this year and on the last day of our trip, we happen to stop at the Polynesian on our way to the Floridian to look at the Christmas decorations and stay out of the rain. Well, we stop at the DVC booth and it's all over. We're proud members! We had thought about scheduling an open house during our trip, but never had time. However, with the rain and a short day due to return flight, it was the perfect opportunity for us. Grandma and Grandpa were with us and they joined too! We have three DDs ages 6, 4 and 2, so we are pretty confident we made the right decision. Our home base is SSR and I was very pleased to read good feedback about it here. I've been on the Dis for awhile, but mostly in the Community board, but I'll be here at the DVC board a lot too!

Just wanted to share my excitement and look forward to reading the boards for more info and tips about DVC. :sunny:

Hi, thanks for the enthusiastic welcome. We're in a bit of sticker shock today, but we do think it's right for us. We love Disney and the other resorts that are included seem great too. The flexibility to use the points at so many places really did it for us.

I will have to figure out how to get the logo into my signature. :rotfl:

Yes, the ability to use points so many different places & at any time of the year, makes it very attractive to us, too.
We like DVC so much we plan to add on any day now. We actually are planning one add on now & an add on when AKLV becomes available (with incentives!). :cool1:
We were mulling over the cost, when the new rack rates came out & considering how the dollar is not doing & with so many vacation spots competing for the Euro, well, the expense just doesn't look that bad.
Add-on-itis, :earseek: beware, we will rationalize anything :teeth:
But we love it! :cheer2:
