I gather that 1 bed villa accom at Vero could literally be anywhere in the resort with varying views.

Anyone recommend a room number that is convenient to the pool or has a ocean view.

Thanks

Since you cannot specify a room number, to get an ocean view ask for a top floor room and a pool view in that order. 2 of the buildings (14&15) are very close to the pool, the 3rd (12) is on the other side of the Inn, but still not a long walk from the pool.

Here is a map of the resort.

Thanks for the advice. I just called was told they are not even allowed to write down a request for oceanview. I asked whether she could write down a request for oceanside and she said yes. So I requested "top floor, oceanside in building 14 or 15." We'll see what happens (it'll probably be bldg 16 streetside but at the rate I'm paying over Xmas, I'm not about to complain.

If you requested a 1Br then you may be in luck, Rod. The 1 BR units are all towards the ocean side. The dedicated 2BR units are, as you say, "streetside" or to the back of the units.

Is this a new policy, not being able to request a room or a view? With my trip last week, three days before I arrived (11/12) I called and requested a certain room, or one that had a "direct ocean view" and this was listed as a request when I checked in. The CM told me my original room request was not available, but another one, same view, right next door, was and that was how we got our wonderful view.

If 1 bedrooms are Oceanside then where do the studios point?

I'm making reservations for my brother & I'd like as romantic a location as possible.

Studios point in the same direction.
