Has anyone here purchased one? I found one I loved and the seller has 100% positive feedback. I just don't want to get it and think it's cheap looking or not love it. But I'm on a tight budget when it comes to the dress so this would be the perfect thing if it was good quality. Anyone have any experience with this? TIA!

I'm sure it depends on the seller, but a friend of mine did that for her wedding and her dress came out beautifully...it was a perfect match for her and her individuality and the quality was very good.

I also looked into this as my dress I want is around £600 cheaper from a seller in the USA

I would love to know if anyone else has done this also

I bought a beautiful made to measure dress from ebay. It fitted like a glove but I bought it so far in advance that it didn't actually fit for the wedding. I'd dropped a dress size due to the physical duties that my work involves and the dress was so intricate it wouldn't have looked right if I took it in. As it only cost £39 it wasn't too much of a financial cripple to buy another. The gown I wore on the day was from Debenhams & cost £80. I wanted something simple. For UK brides keep an eye on Monsoon in the January sales especially the outlet centres as they sell off their lovely gowns. I got the gown to wear for our UK blessing for £30 reduced from £300.

I did and it was a beautiful dress, BUT it was wrong. I ordered it in gold and they did it in silver then when I ordered a veil to match it, I hated it and they did it in the wrong color tulle. Luckily, at least the dress fit like a glove, it is very pretty, and I was able to find a veil to match from a different seller. I think it is still a pretty good idea because you save a lot of money, but you have to be willing to go with the flow. My seller had 100% postive feedback too.

My cousin's custom dress came from a seller on ebay and not only was it less than $500, to this day no one in our family has had a more spectacular gown. If I wasn't wearing my mother's gown, I'd look on ebay.

I bought mine from a custom gown maker on Ebay! As a matter of fact, sajetto and I bought the same gown! Except, mine came in the correct color. I have no complaints at all, I loved it and my matching veil. I ordered my veil at the same time I ordered the gown...that's probably why it came in the correct color. Mine is Ivory with Gold beadwork. It's absolutly beautiful! I love sajetto's in silver too! And they make it to your measurments, so, you don't have to worry about it not fitting!!! I was a little worried before it arrived, but everyone that's seen the gown has been in aww! And no one can believe that I paid around $500 for it instead of several thousands for it! Hope you find the gown of your dreams! And good luck! (I have a few pics of my gown on my planning journal, I think!) :sunny:
