We just found out that DD's soccer team will be staying at the Days Inn on International Drive :sad2: . I have never stayed anywhere but DVC and HRH. I am very, very nervous. Has anyone ever stayed here? What kind of place is it? I hope to hear some good things.
Thanks for any information you can give me.

I'm nervous because the reviews on trip advisor talk about cockroaches and dirty rooms. You might think of it as just a place to sleep. But I prefer to sleep without roaches. Have you stayed there? I would love to hear from someone who stayed there and had good experiences.

Days Inns as a general rule are not very well maintained. While I'm sure there are exceptions here and there, I haven't heard much of anything good about a single Days Inn in the greater Orlando area.
Sorry to not have better news.

CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!
we stayed there 2 years ago....moldy, (my daughter coughed so bad the entire trip!) we had to ask for our new blankets for our beds on the first night. we had to ask for our room and beds to be made 4 times out of a ten day stay!
I am far from picky! really I am not the best house keeper , but this was Nasty. :faint: I could not leve becuase I had already pre paid! my 14 year :scared: old reminds me all the time how nasty it was... did I mention the swamp view Gross ( I was afraid my kids would fall in) :scared1:

Floridians call them "palmetto bugs"... hehe :lmao:
Sounds like a place I stayed in once up in MI where the checkin guy actually asked me twice if "we were sure if we wanted to stay there!"...LOL...
Unfortunately everything for a 100 miles around was booked solid and we had no choice... (believe me..you want to avoid the Snowflake Motel in St. Joseph, MI! LOL)

My family had the displeasure of staying there a couple of years ago when I decided on a last minute christmas trip on a tight budget. I was unlucky enough to get this hotel through a price line bid. Rooms were simply horible. I looked up the place on their website and felt hopeful. All hope went out the window when we arrived. The staff was nice and that was it.
Rooms smelled, mold (??) I don't know. It was very old and old fashioned. The elevator was old and smelly, yucky stains everywhere, the carpeting, the concrete walkway, the stairs. I just wanted to get out of there. It was the worse christmas eve of my life. The next day, we hightailed it to another hotel and I just had to kiss my priceline money good bye.
The only good thing I can say is that it looked like they were in the process of remodeling the rooms, so maybe things have gotten better. The only way to find out is to call the hotel.

Thanks for all the replies. Luckily we got off the DVC waitlist for most of the nights. Hopefully the rest will come through. I just feel bad for the rest of the team that is definitely staying there for 4 nights!
