I wanted to take a moment to post here some pictures of the stuff we've been working on. We leave in the morning for wdw. I really wanted to do a PJ all along, throughout the planning..but things got all kinds of crazy and I just didn't have the time or energy to do it. I've been very happy reading everyone else's and I am glad the mods are letting us have them.

On with the show!

Five years ago on 12/17 we got engaged in the Rose Garden @ MK, right before fireworks, back when DFTW still did engagements. It's been a long crazy five years, but we're finally getting hitched! Our wedding is on Sunday (12/17/06) at the wedding pavilion. We are having the reception at the California Grill in the room that faces MK. On saturday night we are having a rehearsal dinner at Ohana and then a Fireworks dessert party at the French Terrace. We are also going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Friday night 12/15 with my family and a few friends.

We are having about 35 guests. We started out with about 50 invited. Most of our friends and family are in MD, NY, and NJ. It's a week before Christmas and in FL so most folks would have to travel.

We started planning in January. We had a few bumps along the way. We had the wedding planner from hell.. who said no to everything we asked for. We were reassigned to Tim Blunk in September, who quit DFTW a month later. We didn't hear anything from DFTW for a month, and in November we got our current planner ... who is incredibly wonderful and is making just about everything we asked for happen. I guess third time's a charm!

More Details:

Tim Herring is our officiant.

My Dress! I love my dress, it's all bustled up here, but it does have a long train.

Close up ~ Here's a closeup of the really pretty beading at the top.

My custom made veil:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/34046veil-med.jpg

I didn't like any of the veils at the bridal shop and they were all $200+ so at the last minute the woman at the bridal shop doing my alterations offered to make a veil for me. It was $50, and is exactly what I wanted. Ivory color, medium length, pencil edge and crystal mickeys scattered along the bottom :Pinkbounc

Tiara ~ found it at Claire's

I also had the mickey bride headband modified :) She removed the veil that was there, and replaced it with a longer shimery ivory one that matches my dress. I'll probably wear this during the week:

I also have a Mickey Tiara -- I won't wear this for the wedding.. not sure that I'll wear it at all, but it was cute and I had to have it. Got it at Ariba Brothers at Downtown Disney.

Cuff Links for all the boys..
http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/34046cuff_links.jpg

Mickey Toe Rings for the girls.. the blue one is for me. I can't post the other jewlery and things because one of the bridesmaids is a dis'er and she's taken up reading the wedding boards! (Hi DisAeryn!)

Tie Tack for DF:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/34046tie_tack-med.jpg

Wedding rings ~ I chose diamonds all around, and DF chose a really nice plain ring, with brushed metal. Best man's parents own a jewelry store, and custom made my ring so it would be really flat and comfortable.
http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/34046wedding_ring-med.jpg

The Bridesmaids are wearing - David's Bridal F11165 in Apple. I don't have a good picture.

The flower girl is wearing a very lovely dress similar to mine.. and I can't find the pic :)

Jason is wearing the mickey vest from Carolyn Allen's - and probably not this tie, it was just an example. The other guys will be wearing red vests to match the bridesmaids.

For the scroll work on the cake, Jason modified the design from a cake we had seen somewhere - and worked in some mickeys. This is the drawing he sent to the GF bakery:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/34046cake_design-med.jpg

The cake will be ivory - with the white chocolate castle with gold turrets.

That's it for now! Gotta go pack, we have a 10:30 flight tomorrow.

wow you look so nice in that dress. I tried on one so similar and it was my choice till i found the one i have now.

I love that veil as well. the one I love is £180 which on our exchange rate is about $340 which is so expensive! I'm looking on the net for one

I'm so looking forward to seeing your wedding pics once your back

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I picked up the Mickey Tiara in August @ Aribas Brothers DTD, when we were there for our planning session.

orangetiggs - The tux rental through Carolyn Allen's is about $140, they will drop off the tuxes Friday night and pick them up Monday morning. The only hassel is that the warehouse is only open till noon on Saturday and not at all on Sunday, so everyone has to try on their tux friday night in case there are any problems. Most folks are flying in Friday and one person isn't getting in until Saturday, so it's a bit of a time crunch.

More Stuff...

We are into pin trading and also had pins made. They came out really nice and are a good size about 1.5" Jason made lanyard tags for them.
