4 legged baby that is - she's only here for 2 weeks then she will be a Christmas present for MIL - this is what mil asked us to get her for Christmas and her birthday since I've had such good luck picking out her other cats so it's not really a surprise but she doesn't know what she looks like. Can't keep calling her 'cat' for 2 weeks so hopefully we can get a name that will stick - sorry mil!! :rotfl2: Her older cat is called Zip

Surprisingly enough she and my dog Cricket (aka Jiminy Cricket) are getting along pretty good - for a dog that's only 1 1/2 he is very good with her - he's let her climb all over him!

Does it have to be a Disney name?

Nope - anything! The kitten is going to my Mil so I need a few suggestions for her.
She is such a playful but laid back kitten - great personality!!

We got our present pet just before Christmas a few years back, and named him Nikki in honour of Saint Nicholas (Santa) for him coming to us at this festive time of year. The name works for both a boy or a girl.

When I saw the pic the very first thing that came to my mind.....dont laugh was Pekoe. The black represents the tea and the orange represents the orange pekoe part.

I like Holly too - I also like Callie - I'm going to have to break down and show mil a picture and see what she thinks but I'm pretty sure I can have her knowing her name before mil gets her :lmao: :rotfl2:

How about Evil Queen - oh wait - we are naming a kitten not mil :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Ahh mil is ok!!
kitten has been taunting poor Cricket all day - silly dog needs to realize that he's bigger then she is so he can stick up for himself and doesn't have to let her walk all over him!! Poor 40lb dog is being bullied by a tiny 1lb kitten!! :lmao:

My first thought was Patches. Someone else already came up with Noel, very cute.
We probably have the only dog named after raw meat - Sushi. She's a Shih Tzu/Pekinese cross and is 12 lbs of furry. :dog:

Ahh, she is cute. We also have a calico and her name is Coco (for the co at the end of calico). Kind of dumb but it suits her.

Have you named her yet?? :sunny: My oldest DD (5yrs) saw the photo of her and thought she was beautiful. She wants a kitten soooooo badly, but the rule is no kittens until our other cats have passed on (they are only 9 and 10 yrs) ... so that day is a few years away I hope :) .
Kerri
p.s. I asked oldest dd what she should be called that is Christmas'y and she too came up with Holly :) She also likes the name Princess (of course  )!

I hope so too of course! We had to put our siamese down at 19 years and my Mom's calico just turned 22! It may be a lot longer than you think!

Our calico cats growing up were always named Taffy (I have no idea why).
But my brother's calico cat is named Salsa... because of the pretty mix of colours and because she's saucy!

Name has been decided - mil decided that she liked the name Callie.
We however have been calling her either Mischief or Munchkin and I'm pretty sure that will stick - she's even looking at us when we call it out now! :rotfl2: Big joke about renaming animals - Cricket gets called (and answers to) Checkers when my fil is here. Drives me nuts and he knows it! :lmao: :rotfl2:
My almost 7yo has gotten so attached to her that I think we're going to have a hard time sending her to gramma's after Christmas! We've ended up telling him that if tests negative to his cat allergy this year we'll consider it! I've never been a cat person but even I've enjoyed having her around!!
