So, who's ready. I mean really ready. Presents wrapped, everything done...
I am nearly there. I keep buying the kids things I need to wrap, so right now I have two sweaters for each that need to get into boxes. And I had forgotten DD's teacher presents, so I need to wrap those.
I also have to make candy to give to the kids after-school teachers.
Boy, my list got longer as I typed!

I'm half way wrapped, does that count? I'm taking Friday off to start baking some cookies and hopefully finish wrapping . . .but its really sneaking up on me this year. . .

I have one more box of ornaments to hang on the garland that is on our plant rail. I am taking three boxes to UPS this afternoon, which will mean my parents stuff is completely done. One of the boxes is going to Seattle, which is where we're going, so that's a good chunk of the in-laws done. DH is done and wrapped. I still need to do two mini books of SIL's wedding pictures for MIL and DH's Grammy. And DH needs to get two stocking stuffers and an exchange gift. He knows what he is getting but they haven't been purchased yet. Oh, and he needs stuff for me. The biggest thing up in the air, is that we leave for Seattle on the 22nd. My birthday is the 21st, and he doesn't like to mix Christmas with my birthday. So we are trying to figure out when to do our Christmas...the 20th (which would be weird because it would be before my b-day) or just do it on my birthday.

Done, what's done????
I still have nothing for DH and I need a few more things for the kids. If DH goes to Belgium he'll never get his stuff done so I'll be getting gift cards and IOU's. LOL

I'm not done either. This is a weird year shopping wise for me. The people I normally have trouble buying for I'm done with and have it wrapped. The ones that I usually have no problem with I'm stumped on. LOL I also have alot on order that will be in this week so I'm hoping to keep up with the wrapping so I'm not doing it last minute. Oh yeah did I mention that I'm still making some of the presents. This will need to be a busy weekend.

I don't think I'll be getting my DIS gifts out in time. My tree is still bare, nothing is wrapped and I'm tired! Who wants to come over and help??
It's weird too. I love to wrap gifts, I'm the Martha Stewart of gift wrapping but I just can't get in the mood. I've done the xmas music and all that but I'm aiming for gift bags this year.

I'm mostly done but not in a real Christmasy mood. I have all my main presents bought and wrapped and the only purchases left are a few little stocking stuffers to buy for my grown daughters who still want a stocking from Mom! Oops, I just forgot that I need to finish making a necklace for my Mom & two for my nieces. These have to be mailed by Friday (my deadline for myself).
I have to clean out my extra bedroom that was storing all the Christmas presents for my daughter who'll be home for several days over the holidays. It has a really lame artificial tree sitting on the dresser that needs some love - maybe this weekend!
We opted not to do any outside decorating this year and our house looks so depressing from the outside. My dh was thrilled.
And, I haven't made any candy or baked a thing yet!
I usually watch the sappy hallmark Christmas movies that I love but even those aren't really getting me in the mood.

My gifts are in the boxes that they were shipped in, and in the back of my car. I started making a jewelry gift for 1 friend this morning, and need to get my paint cans finished to wrap my gifties in. I need 1 finished by Wednesday, so I just have to make the time to do it... But I was inspired to bead today so I went with it... Have to go where inspiration takes me :hippie:

I finished everything the weekend before last. This has never happened before, and I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. I keep thinking I'm forgetting someone or something, but I've triple checked the list. Everything is assembled, wrapped and ready to go.

I'm not done either. What I have bought is all wrapped, but I still have a few things to pick up. I have to do some paint cans this week and a couple handmade gifts (if they work out!). I just got an email from Amazon.com saying the deadline for making it here by Christmas with free shipping is in a couple days - I think I better do that tonight and save myself a few more trips to the stores (always a plus.)
One of my coworkers today asked me if I've gotten my baking started yet because last year I went a little crazy with the cake mix cookies. I wasn't necessarily planning on doing that this year but now I feel pressure! I'll have to at least do a batch for her.

Most of my shopping is done and I will head out tomorrow as soon as the kiddos get on the bus to finish it (I hope!). I have a whopping 4 presents wrapped- my goal is to have all wrapping done this weekend. Next week I will go into candy making and baking mode.
Usually at this stage in the game, I'm done with everything. :confused3

Oh man, I'm not even close to being finished. I still need to make our Christmas cards! I have to wait until Thur at the earliest to send them out though b/c that's when our picture session is. At least it's at the Picture People so I can get our pics right away. I'm waiting for several presents to come in and I haven't even started wrapping anything that I do have. I have to make 11 dozen squares of fudge for a Cookie exchange on Fri and I have to gather up Teacher, postal worker, UPS etc. gifts and giftcards. I think thats it.
I'm not really feeling the Christmas spirit either. My GMIL's death and the cancelled Disney trip really put a damper on the holidays this year. We always go to Disney right after Thanksgiving and seeing WDW all decorated just makes Christmas that more special for us. Hopefully when my in-laws get back, we can get more into the spirit. It's not really the same without them here right now.

I don't really feel ready here either. I have most of my shopping done--everything except a few gift cards I have to pick up. We finally got our tree up last week, but we haven't put up a lot of our Christmas decorations--just haven't found the time! I'm hoping to wrap all of our gifts and do DH's Christmas cards for work this weekend.
DH & I are getting each other APs for Christmas this year, and then I have to get a couple of small things for him--I'll probably do that next week when I get off for Christmas Break. I guess it'll all get done one way or another!

Sadly NO!!! I have no idea what I lost this year. I was wondering if it had to do with DS 10 losing his belief. I barely decorated, did not do all the things I normally do every year. I asked my sister what happened to me?? She said I am having a menapausal Christmas! OMG what on earth is that??
I normally hold an open house and will not be doing that either...my get up and go has gone! We will be in Vermont with my parents this year and after that driving down to Myrtle Beach to see Sisters little ones.
I am glad I am not alone and really miss that spark I usually have , I really feel differently I think becasue the "magic" is lost for my DS.
Anyonew else ever feel that way??
Thanks all!

I really do understand! I know this is my last year as Santa - DD already came home saying that so-and-so said Santa isn't real and neither is the tooth fairy. Blah blah blah...
I think I am finally heading out of my doldrums as things get closer and it is almost time to gather the families - maybe it will get better for you once the work is over and you can relax and spend time with loved ones. I know I am ready for the stress of getting there to be done - only two more days at work!!!

:cheer2: Yay for me :cheer2:
I started wrapping yesterday...I never start that early. I had the all Christmas radio station on, and was singing and wrapping...really trying to get in the spirit...
I have a package being delivered today for DS14...AND the mail yesterday brought DH 2 packages from some really exciting places. :woohoo: One was Bargain Pack, I think it might be a Cricut Cartridge  The other was from Unique Beaded Jewelry.com, they make beading patterns and kits for 3D birds, like a hummingbird, parrot, etc  I had asked for a kit from there. I tried to post a pic from the site, but it is protected...
So, I am very excited about my Christmas morning! :cloud9: I just hope that DH likes his stuff as much as I like mine!!!

I know that feeling too. I have an older stepson, and 2 boys of my own...The rule at our house was if you don't "believe" in Santa, you don't get gifts from Santa. It is never discussed, just stated firmly that Santa brings gifts only to "believers"...and we all believe :santa:
My Dh is a big kid anyway, and sings "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" whenever he buys me a giftie, wears the same "I'm a Toys R Us Kid" sweatshirt that I gave him our first Christmas together EVERY Christmas morning since, so if we didn't have Santa gifts I think he would be the one that was the most disappointed...

:thanks: Thank you all sooooo much you have no idea how much better I feel! I have been beating myself senseless. I am usually doecorated the house from top to bottom with gifts wrapped and some delivered and all I usually do is sing dance and bake this week!
So, I have stuff to still do and hopefully God will bless me with another Christmas and I will remeber this year as the one that I just made it through. We will be traveling from PA to Vermont then dash down to Myrtle Beach and back home.
I am never so close to the wire but now I know it will be ok I am not alone and sometimes you just gotta go with it!
SO thank you very much ladies I know I will be just fine and next year I will just not put things off. This is nuts I am not accustomed to this frantic state and OMG I have a pine colder candle holder I haven't finished and wil be up doing I am sure tonight!
Thanks for keeping me motivated!!!! What a blessing you guys are!!!!!
Heres wishing you all some magic for Christmas...... pixiedust: :tinker: :tink:

So the second gift for mom was a bust, they were out. So I'm thinking of just getting her a gift card to ACMoore.
The last thing for DS6 is no where to be found too so I'm done with the kids.
DH I'm at a loss, he asked for weird stuff and I can't find it so he's mostly getting DVD's. I'm shopped out, I need to go buy the stuff tomorrow or this afternoon to make my thin mint cookies but I just don't want to go anywhere anymore.
