Discount at Disney Store?

Hi,
I just read on a post that DVC members get a discount at Disney Stores in the UK. Is this true? If so how do you go about claiming that discount? I love shopping there (well I'd rather be in WDW but I can't be there 52 weeks a year) and this would be a great perk if it's true. Can anyone give me the facts?

Hi - We got our Discount for the first time at the Cardiff Disney Store two weeks ago. I just gave the cashier my membership card and they took 10% off the bill. The cashier I got did check with her supervisor and he commented that it was no problem, just use the Magic Kingdom discount. It was very painless - go for it ....

That's fab... bit annoying that I spent £40 in their at the weekend though..
Will have to go shopping again soon- lol

I love using my DVC card in the disney store, it's great to chat to the cashier about disney they love it too (the ones i speak to anyway)

I agree with this - the CM always seems to be interested in learning about your card, the DVC, how many times youve visited Disney etc.

Definitely! I work at the Disney store and I love chatting to the guests who show their Vacation card for a discount :)

It's not a new discount - been there ever since I was a member. Only good in the European Disney stores and not in any of the parks or US stores (the US stores are no longer owned by Disney.)
