Sarah - it's brilliant.

In fact, can I ask a question (you dont have to reply on here, pm will be fine) but how much did the videographer cost and was it just the ceremony you got taped?

I didnt want a video, but i'm actually thinking of changing my mind just for the ceremony now

I simply CAN NOT wait for your whole trip report and to read how the whole day went. You looked stunning and must be so happy.

Enjoy mexico

Travel Day

Ok this day was very boring!! we got up at 3am to be picked up at 4am to travel to the airport.

DF parents were picking us up in their taxi and my parents were to meet us at the airport.

So we got to the airport around 5am and went straight to check our bags in, we all managed to get seats together which was good.

We then all decided to get some breakfast, by this point it was around 7am am I was waiting for my friends who were travelling down from scotland. They finally landed around 8.30am and it was good to see them. The could not miss us as I was wearing a BRIDE TO BE t-shirt and df had his GROOM cap on!!

Our flight was slightly delayed so we were a bit late arriving into orlanod airport.

We quickly got through immigration and headed to the car hire desk. We had two cars, I was driving one and my dad was driving the other.

We got to the cars and I said to my dad follow me as we have been to disney loads so know the way. He lost us comeing out of the car park!!! He then missed all the signs and started heading towards Cape Canaveral!!

While we were driving the sky opened and its poured down! I was driving so slow as I was not used to such heavy rain, even with this we got to Coronado springs around 5:15pm and had to wait 45 mins for my parents to show up!!

We then all checked in and after much trouble we finally all got in the same block. We stayed in ranchos 8a, i wanted cabanas or casitas but no luck there.

We were right near bus stop 4 which was very handy.

We found our rooms and then decided to drive to POFQ for their food court for dinner, as I had a 7 seater we all jumped in one car and had a mini tour of disney.

By 9:30pm we were all pretty tired so went to bed ready for the next day.

Day 2- Our trip to the courthouse..........

our flight out to orlando was 8 hrs something and then coming home from Miami it was only 7 hrs something as we had a tail wind which is always good.

OK so day 2

Today we got up super early because of the time differences, I unpacked and then around 7:30 we headed to ponderosa for an all you can eat breakfast!

The family loved it and we were there for ages!

We finally got into the car to travel to the court house in kissimee

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/IMG_0481.jpg

We got our license within 10 mins and we were off.

We decided to stop at walmart and do a bit of shopping!

We got back to coronado springs around 1pm and headed on the bus to hollywood studios.

We decided to go on muppets 3d which the parents loved and also the backlot tour.

We were the second people into the queuing area and got picked out to be the helpers!!! having seen the show before we decided not to 'help' as we didnt want to get wet! and I am afraid of the water so no good!

we also did the great movie ride which i like now they have added the newer movies to the ending.

We were then all a bit tired so ended up back at the hotel eating in the pepper market.

Glad to hear the court prcess was very quick. Apparently i've heard your actually married at that point - is that true?

What do they make you do in there?

Also, can I ask how you got your dress over there?

orangetiggs
10-02-2008, 05:43 AM
we were more married at the courthouse. you can pay extra to be married there but we got married at disney with jack day.

We just filled in our license and then payed and they gave it back to us for the officiant to sign. He could then return it and our license would be sent to us but we took ours back and got extra copies while we were in disney.

I packed my dress in a suitcase cabin size so it could go with us in the cabin. it was all alce so didnt crease

so sunday 31st August was our welcome dinner day.

We started the day having breakfast and then we headed to epcot to ride the rides!! We did test track and robs mum hated it!! we have the photopass picture but the cd is not here yet.

We love test track and robs dad loved it as well. we didnt do mission space as that makes me so ill so we headed to soarin! Robs mum doesnt like hights yet she enjoyed this after she got off!!

We then decided to head out to walmart before the dinner which was at half five to pick up a few last min bits for the wedding. I also had my nails done at the CSR spa which was really nice, they last for ages as well. Tomorrow I get to go to the spa at grand floridian that one of my bridesmaids paid for as a gift.

Our welcome dinner was held at chef mickeys as I wanted the characters there and they were!

We ended the night with Robs cousins (they had only just got married and ended their honeymoon in orlando so they could be at our wedding), We went into magic kingdom to go on all the rides.

I must admit I loved monsters inc laugh floor, Simon and kelly (robs cousins) went the night before and said we have to go on it and both nights simon got picked on it was so funny. We didnt get to go on space mountain as itwas shut due to a fault. Big Thunder mountian in the dark was super!!! We love that one

Splash mountain was good as well. We got to see spectromagic as well which was great and wishes.

Wishes is my fav fireworks it always makes me cry!

We ended the night around 11pm heading back to crs on the bus.

Chef Mickey's is such a blast with a group; I know I had such a great time when we went there the week of our wedding. So we woke up on the monday morning and it dawned on my that today was our wedding rehearsal.

We grabbed some breakfast at ponderosa and headed back to the hotel to make sure we had everything to take with us to francks to give to meri.

We also got Rob checked into his room at CSR fo the nighbefore the wedding, he was going to stay there with his two best men and I would stay in our room with my maid of honor

So we left the hotel around 11.15 for our rehearsal with the car fully loaded with stuff for our wedding tomorrow!!!!

We were meeting everyone at the pavillion and lucky everyone turned up on time. Even our friends who had been trouble leading up to the wedding.

We finally meet Rev Jack Day and he is so sweet, everyone loved him and it really put me at ease.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/DSC_0064.jpg

so the rehearsal didnt take too long and it made me feel a little less nervous!!! I dont think it quite it me that I was getting married untill today when we walked through everything.

I had booked us all lunch at the grand floridian cafe anthis was lovely, we had a slw slow over to the cafe as we were a little early and sat down with allhe family and bridal party to have some lunch.

After this my bm Vicki and I had a pedicure at the grand floridian spa while Rob went to animal kingdom with all our friends.

The plan was to meet them after so us girls could go off for a girls night and the boys. This plan didnt really happen! both rob and I never really spend anytime apart so we wre a bit worried about leaving each other. So once I was finished at the spa I drove back to the hotel to park the car. Animal kingdom was now shut so they told me they were heading to hollywood studios. I said I would jump on the bus and meet them there! Well1 hour later they finally turned up. I had been sitting by the entrance or ages burning in the sun!!

So all 9 of us decided to do a few rides at HS and we tried to do toy story but the wait was far oo long, it was like 110 mins!!

It got to around7 om and they started to give out wrist bands as it was extra magic hours, we could stay bu they others stayed in a villa so could not.

Everyone decided we would go for a meal somewhere. I sai we would be lucky to get anywhere on disney as it was quite late by the time we got back to the cars. So we headed for Hooters!!!

Now I dont think we have anywhere in the UK like this place. Rob says everytime we go can we go and I say no!! So I am fine with this, some of the other girs were not but it was not that bad. There was only one single guy in our group and he LOVED it. I didnt think the food was that bad and it was so cheap.

On the way out one o the best men asked if they could have a pic done with the girls.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/Hooterspic.jpg

we then got back to the hotel around 11 and went our seperateways till tomorrow, Our wedding Day!!

Tuesday 2nd Sept, OUR WEDDING DAY :cool1:

So our alarm was set for 7am so we could grab some food before ana arrived at 8:30am.

We got up and Df parents said they would get us some food so we didnt bump into the boys. We were not seeing each other before the ceremony.

8.30am arrived and Ana turned up to start all the hair and makeups. First was my two bm and then my mum then I got in the chair!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58027.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58064.jpg

I loved my hair on the wedding day, it was so much better than my trail and I'm so pleased I stuck with Ana.

My sister who is 12 had her hair done at BBB and I thought she looked great, Ana's assistant (I feel bad as I dont remember her name) toucherd her makeup up.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58065.jpg

Then before we knew it Misty was at the door, it was 11am!!! Misty and Nelio were fantastic, they were one of the best decisions we made during this wedding.

They got straight to work.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58008.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58070.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/580682.jpg

While I was getting in my dress Nelio went over to the boys and got a few getting ready pics of them

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58048.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58042.jpg

It was then time to get me in my dress!!!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58074.jpg

I was so hot!!! We are used to cold weather and even in the room with the AC on I was still burning hot!!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58079.jpg

Once in my dress we had a few pics done with everyone and with the mirrors

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/580472.jpg

My parents then came in and saw me all dressed up , my mum cried straight away which then got me crying!!

I then gave my dad a handkercheif

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58103.jpg

While this was going on the boys were getting the limo to the grand floridian

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/582042.jpg

they then did some pics around the staircase area

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/582122.jpg

then it was our turn to get the limo to the grand

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58249.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58225.jpg

We had loads of pics done around the grand with just me and my bm and the family ones by the staircase.

It was then time for the bm to get to the wp in the limo and then me, dad and my sister were to take the horse drawn landau

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58275.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58287.jpg

We then went straight into the brides vestibule for more photos and some AC!!!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/58349.jpg

Up next THE CEREMONY!

Will I cry!!!

That's too funny how your group ended up at Hooters  The group shot of the guys is really funny!

Did you practice the sand cermony? I know you mentioned practice vases. I kind of wish we would have because I poured way faster than Kris.

The hankerchief for your dad was so sweet. I had one for each of my parents, but never thought of having such a sweet inscription added.

Your getting ready shots are beautiful, I love how your sister was able to go to BBB too! Your dress looks exquisite in the shot of you in the window :bride:

Looking forward to reading more.

ok so after we got the ipod fixed the major domo introduced us
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62095.jpg

we then went into our 1st dance

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62103.jpg

it was heaven by bryan adams, which we love.

We then went straight to our cake cutting,

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62122-1.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62132.jpg

and I told him not to smash it in my face! we cut a rather large piece to eat!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62140.jpg

As we only had stan for 4 hours he was leaving at 5 so we had to fit everything in 30 mins so next up were the speeches, firstly was my dads, short and sweet which is exactly what i wanted and then my new Husbands!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62167.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62177.jpg

then our two best men got up and read us a poem about our lives togther and all the funny things dh had done! it was so funny.

Stan then asked us to do another fake first dance so he could get more on film

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62236.jpg.

We said good bye to stan and then the food started coming!!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62250.jpg

first we had chicken and cheese quesadila (sp) which was so nice

then came the sorbet with the lighted slipper

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62260.jpg

then our entree came out and everyone was like oh my! we are never going to eat all this.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62283.jpg

it was peppered filet with almond crusted chicken! it was so nice!

then we had the cake cut for dessert and my 12 year old sister got the chocolate slipper dessert

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62287.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/62290.jpg

The food and service were fantastic and the staff were so attentive, anything we wanted they got.

It was fantastic.

Once we got to uk lower Misty kindly asked the guide if we could have 30 mins around the world show case and they said yes! we got some lovely pics and I'm so glad she asked.

So SEPTEMBER 3RD

They day after the wedding we had a lot to do! We had to take our license back to the court house to make it all offical and to get our copies, this was really easy and saved us waiting for Jack to send it in and then get it sent to us in the UK.

We then realised we had lost our sand ceremony vase! No one had picked it up from the reception so we rushed back to the hotel to call Meri or Alix to find out where it was! Luckily it was taken to Francs and was wanting for us to pick up along with our top tier of our cake!!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p118/orangetiggs/184_184.jpg

So once all this was picked up we headed to Animal Kingdom, we pre ordered the photopass before we left the uk and I'm so glad we did this

Sept 4th

This was the day we were checking into the poly for our complimentary night.

We got up and picked some breakfast up at the pepper market and packed an overnight bag.

We met with both sets of parents to plan the day, as we didnt really want to leave the poly for most of the day we had planned to meet at 2pm for lunch at the grand floridian cafe and then back to the poly to show them the room etc.

Well we got to the poly around 11am hoping our room was ready and it was!! We had a conceirge laggon view room which I was hoping was a mk view and it was!!

I loved this resort and having never looked round it before it was so nice to stroll around.

So we met our parents at the gf for lunch but by the time we got up there the cafe was shut!!! We loved this when we went for our rehearsal lunch so were a bit upset it was shut!

We decided to go back to the poly via the monorail and see if Kona cafe was open. We got there and it was empty but still open. So we sat down for lunch and the food was really good. (I cant find any pics from this so sorry about that) We ordered dessert and our lovely server got us a chocolate puff thing with lilo and stitch on the plate in chocolate as as congratulations which was so nice, I have pics somewhere but cant find it!

So after we showed our parents the room we said goodbye to them for the night and chilled out around the hotel and just walking around and making use of the concierge lounge!! Love that place.

I knew I wanted to catch the water pagent as I have never managed to see it before and we wanted to watch wishes from the beach.

We got some dinner at the counter service and waited for the pagent to begin.

Next up lots of pics of wishes and the water pagent!

Just caught up with your trip report having been offline for too long! Love the pics from the monorail - I think I'm going to see if we can get some wedding day pics with it in, as all the kids love trains and moving vehicles, lol!

so we got a nice spot on the beach to watch the pagent and wishes, this was so popular and was very busy so I'm glad we waited for it otherwise we would not have got any seats.

you dont have to take it back you can get your officiant to take it back then the copies get sent to you, we wanted to make sure we got ours asap so we took it back ourselves after jack day signed it on the wedding day. We got 3 extra copies there and then as well so everything was sorted

02-16-2009, 04:26 AM
what is the Pros of having it done straight away.. ? Is there any benefits? Do they send it to the UK yeah, and its sorted once its sent to the UK, is there anything else you have to do?

(sorry for being a pain for asking when i should look into this myself, but i think its better from someone whos done it and been through it!) :flower3:

we didnt want to wait for it and rick maybe it getting lost in international mail, it doesnt take 5 mins to do so we thought it best to take it back to the courthouse we got it and they stamp it and copy it and its done. We told jack this at our rehearsal and he was fine with it.

You dont know how long the officiant will keep it etc and we wanted to make sure we had it for our honeymoon as well, We got 4 copies, we took two with us and then we gave one each to each parents incase anything happened to any of the copies.

You can let your officiant send it back and then the courthouse send it to you in the uk (you have to fill in a envelope with your address)

I just got a chance to look at your last updates. I totally agree about the Polynesian; it really is a great resort. I have only gotten to stay there once so far with my friend and her family, but I loved it. The shots from the beach of the fireworks and the electric light parade were great!

I also really enjoyed the shots from the Halloween party. I have only been to the P&P Party and MVMCP, so it was neat to see another after hours park event. Looking forward to seeing more :goodvibes

Oh thats brilliant thank you so is it just fruit and drink you served at your Pre reception we were only planning on serveing drinks for this bit

orangetiggs
03-02-2009, 07:46 AM
we had a beer and wine package so it was an open bar, we wanted to serve something light as many of us had not eaten and it really went down well. Everyone loved the fruit and it wasnt too filling so everyone had enough for our huge meal

Last year the price was 7.25 per person which was the cheapest option but ideal for us
