only 10 weeks tomorrow!!

Strating the wedding nightmares as well!

Last night I was wondering around walmart at 12:45pm looking for underwear!

I'm having a nightmare with underwear for the dress so I think its stress thats causing the nightmares!

I vote for doing the menus yourself. This way you know you will have them and you can make them just how you want them.

I am doing menu cards for our Wishes wedding in November and adding all our own personalized stuff.

ok so i must have been stupid as today is 10 weeks till my wedding day!!

tried my dress on and it fits!! I need to lose a bit more but its alot better!

I have lost 5lb in 3 weeks so I'm happy with that.

I have my wedding shower/bacherlorette (sp) in 4 weeks so I cant wait for that.

I have my dress fitting on 26th july so excited about that as well.

Finally got in touch with Rev jack Day and all is well so thats good to know

So excited now I cant wait

Sarah - I just realised that you'll be getting married in WDW whilst I'm there :teeth: We'll be in the Magic Kingdom that day for our Keys to the Kingdom tour, so I'll be thinking about you then!

We'll also be at the Sept 5th MNSSHP! We'll look out for you! I think we'll be dressed as Jack and Sally :)

Here is what we used- simple 3 size glass vases with white peony, pink roses, and champagne spray roses-We also had rose petals on the table- since our tables were long we had 2 groupings on each table-

thats very nice, we are having a roman table with our 18 people and I'm just stuck, we have cylinders at the moment but I'm not keen

I'm trying to get some Americanisms into our at home reception, by doing the garter toss, but I read that the single man who catches the garter is supposed to then put it on the single girl who catches the bouquet - but I wanted to keep my bouquet, so I don't quite know how to get round this as people will know if I use a different cheapy one to toss.......

Two of my friends auditioned, one didn't make it past boot camp but the other was in the tv finals for a few weeks, so I followed it all quite closely.
I knew those two would win as soon as they were paired together...

when I got married years ago and at many weddings since brides used a second smaller bouquet to toss. It was a bouquet specifically designed for that purpose.. just wanted to share:goodvibes

I might just see if I can get a similar colored one on ebay or something, just for the purpose of flinging, I doubt the catcher keeps it anyway!

Are you having the wedding shower in place of a hen party, Sarah? Or are you having a night out for that as well?

we start at a friends for the shower aprt then a limo to london for a meal and grease! I do not drink so a club is not my thing so this will be my hen night/day

then the day before the wedding is a girls only day in disney
I'm not big into going out drinking anymore, so this sounds like a really nice plan.

What are you doing for your girls day in Disney? I've also been trying to figure this out...

Are you treamting to the pedicures or are the girls paying for themselves? How many of you is there?

i have 3 girls in florida and 5 in total here.

I have booked 4 hair and makeup for 8:30am but I want to be done and having photos around the hotel beofre the limo picks us up to go the the GF

I have misty for unlimited hours so I want loads of pics done. They did say they would come later and be done by 1pm but I want pics done so I requested it earlier

I can't remember what time I said now, there are 3 of us for hair and make up, and I think we have Randy booked from 1.30pm ish. So I suppose we'll have to be almost all made up by then so we have time for some pre-ceremony shots.

does anyone know what characters you can have at the wedding?

Also does disney do asti?

We are du to pay for it in like 10 days and I want to get everything confirmed so I dont have to worry about changing anything

I'm not sure the answers to all your questions, but I do know that when we asked about having Figment at our reception we were told the only characters that weren't available (from the ones at the Theme Parks) were Winnie the Pooh (and friends) and Figment. Disney apparently doesn't own the copyright on Pooh and Figment is only allowed at his attraction for some reason now.

I cant wait though, we have had so many troubles that I just want to get on that flight and get married! I do wish we had just gone the two of us and got married!

I knew about pooh and friends as I would love to have tigger

It will be worth it in the end. I know I was going crazy the last couple of weeks before the wedding. Despite all the minor glitches we hit (which I'm sure you'll have some too) the wedding itself was fantastic. So, hopefully that can help you get through the next month :bride:

I can't believe how quick your weddings come around. I can't wait to hear how it goes. Are your excited or nervous? I hope the glitches have only been minor.:)

I also wish that it was just me and DF at the wedding. Mind you i wouldn't be able to put up with the moaning from my parents for not being invited. Although at the moment my mums saying shes not coming to the wedding. So it may just have been easier to do it on our own. :rotfl:

I have been through all that with my parents, I only knew a few weeks back that they were actually coming as they paid off the holiday! who knows though they still might not show up at the airport!

I'm very exccited and in a weird way I just want it to be over so no more stress!

I went for my first dress fitting yesterday and all they need to do is take the hem up so I'm pleased with that. I will be picking it up on 16th august.

Also we went for the bm dress fittings as well and they didnt go so well. My sister who is 12 was told to order an adult size 12 dress!! so it clearly didnt fit and we have so many alterations with it.

They should be ready the week before we fly so hopefully she may fill out a bit more in the next 3 weeks!

We have to pay disney on monday and send our signed beo back to them.

We have finalised our cake design with the help of our very artistic wedding planner, thanks meri

I'm so excited about it ebing so close!! I still have loads of things to sort out for our at home blessing and some things for florida but at least the main thigns are done!

We are still struggling with music for our video! who knows when we shall settle on songs!

I have all our adrs booked and I have started to get some holiday bits like clothes and suntan creme.

I have completed our welcome booklets and have put together the welcome bags, I just need to do a sticket or label of some sort.

I'm struggling with door hangers though. I purchased a pack of foam ones from Micheals back in feb and now I'm having trouble decorating them! Any help would be great.

We are heading to our at home reception venue this afternoon to talk numbers and get everything sorted that we want.

The next few weeks are so busy as we have two weddings on each weekend and then its the weekend before we go!!! Time is flying by so quick

I have today finished the design of the menus and printed them up and mounted them on pink and silver card. I will then get one placed on each plate along with our napkin and place hearts we have had made

My favours for disney, i got the idea from a bride on here so thank you, they are silver organza bags with pink and silver m&ms, with pink mickey heads on the end of each ribbon

My menu cards are the same format as orangetiggs. I got my paper from Cards and Pockets. We used them for our wedding invitations and I had extra inserts so I used these in Pearl and put them on a black background also from Cards and Pockets. The insert size is 3.5 x 6.75. We used the same for our invites and used the Candy Apple pocket. On the menu card I also used red ribbon and used a Mickey and Minnie clipart. I liked the fact that I did not have to cut down the Pearl insert - so this way everything is the same size. I did have to cut the black.

I love their paper. It is a heavy cardstock but so many people have complemented me on it and though the invitation was done professionally.

Thanks Linda! Cards and Pockets is the one I am having the color maching problem with. I love their colors but it doesn't match what I am using for my STD's and I tried changing my colors to match something of theirs but no luck so far. It might be back to the drawing board for me.

I got all my card yesterday so I can start my at home reception table plan and place cards so that should all be done this weekend!

We still need to go and order suits fro the at home reception but we are hiring them from the same place as our florida ones so they should have all the measurements so thats handy

Pinky- I have never worked with the foam before so when I try and write on it nothing seems to work apart from a sharpie! I just wanted to do something like our names and date really nothing too hard as I'm running out of time to finish everything!

Weve spent months planning our big day and then within hours its over. Least by having a holiday afterwards it makes it last longer. How long after you get back are you doing your at home do? x

I started trying to locate the cases today! and thinking whats going in what case!

I still have to get a few things such as toothbrushes,paste, washing stuff etc but will get that next sat after I pick my dress up!!!!

Its weird how fast the time is going now!!!

I have today started the place cards for our at home reception so I'm pleased with them and will start looking at my table plan.

I sent my at home invitations out the other day. I'm having mine two weeks after i get back. It's going to be more of a party that a reception (no seating plan, speeches (if my dad was allowed to do the speech he wanted we'd be there for hours) or cake). I've led everyone to believe that it's in a dingy pub and that it will just be a party, but it is infact in a marquee up the back of the pub with posh drapes and a chocolate fountain so there going to be suprise. My mum doesn't even know.

I've recently brought bright green suitcases (so that i can locate them at the airport) but i look at them and think 'how the hell are they going to fit everything in'.:rotfl:

Sounds to me like everything is sorted with your wedding. I bet you can't wait to pick your dress up. Have you decided how to transport it to Florida? Are your family travelling out at the same time?:lovestruc

we land back on the friday and our blessing is on the saturday!!! So i have to make sure everything is done before we leave for florida!

We have ours in a golf club thats like a barn inside so I'm pleased about that.

We have melon for starter
roast sirloin of beef with peppercorn and wild mushroom sauce
and baked cheescake with cherry ice cream for dessert

and then a normal finger buffet with pizzas, spring rolls etc for the evenin buffet.

We were thinking of a fountain but we have a 4 tier wedding cake with sponge, carrot, lemon and chocolate layers so I dont think we will have room for a fountain as well!

That sounds gorgous. It's going to be a bit of a shock to come back from really hot weather to really cold weather. I thought about getting a faux fur bolero for at home. Its definately going to be a shock to the system. But at least your have a gorgous tan.:thumbsup2 The barn sounds so nice. Your going to have a great time.:banana:

We are doing the same as you, landing on the friday and then the party on the saturday at our local golf course, spooky!!!

I cant beleive its so close either!!! this is my second last week at work! so next monday will be my last monday!! Its so scary!

I feel ok about things as disney is sorted and misty is paid so we have most things done and I'm now trying to sort everything to pack and sort spending money out etc.

Our uk one blessing I'm not sure what I was thinking doing it next day!! I thought we wouldnt want to go back to work then do it so lets just follow it on!

I'm looking forward to getting to the airport and feeling relieved as everything should be done!!

Me either, my only problem is that I'm flying with Thomas Cook and they are very stingy with their hand luggage sizes, I am getting one of those travel boxes customed to the size I need

Not really! still got acold and terrible headache and have a wedding reception to go to in an hour!!

Been trying to start packing today!!!

Also trying tot do something with my ceremony progrmas for both here and florida!

Ok so still feeling ill!

Finished our place cards for the uk blessing today and the disney menus which is good.

Yesterday I did my own bride to be t-shirt and bride vest for the flight and wedding morning. I got iron on crystal transfers from ebay and some white tops cheap and they are great!

I have a MRS XXXXXXX as well so I need to find a top for that.

I know it may look a little tacky but its the only time I can get away with it!!

Been discussing times etc with misty so cant wait to finally meet with her.

Hi Sarah! I just caught up with your whole PJ. Can't wait to see the pink dress! I ordered mine for our wedding in Jan, and it's called "beige" but looks slightly pink to me. I LOVED the first shoes you found, but I have big fit and they don't come in my size :(

We actually had an Escape wedding in June (long story...see my trip report on how that all happened). We were going to go to the Orange Co. courthouse, but when I talked to my WP, she said Ocala was easier to get to. I think it's 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other...but we hired a town car and he took us to Ocala. It was super easy and quick there, so I would recommend it. I think we were in and out in 1/2 an hour.

We have ahd a couple of people ask us to use our room to get ready the morning of the wedding!! They are planning on going to one of the parks that day and then get ready in our bridal room!

I have to admit we had several people get ready in our room that were helping with other things the morning of the wedding. It was a little hectic and the room did look like an explosion (and we had to check out of it before we left at 7 am :eek: ), so if you want to have a little more relaxed time then I would suggest politely telling them no :goodvibes

Picked my dress up yetserday and they managed to get it in the cabin sized suitcase so that was good.

I still have no clue what court house to go to, i have heard orange county do a special one that is $10 and has micky on it or something but when i go to the website there are loads of addresses so not sure which one will be near disney

I also decided not to go with the box that you can buy. I didn't think it was going to fit in one of those boxes and they where really expensive. I'm using a duffel bag as its got a bit of give. Did the shop package it up nice with tissue paper?

I have! yesterday we paid for our uk cake, got all our bits for the wedidng, picked the suits up, made the programmes fro the ceremony, finished the menus now I'm just starting the uk table plan!

hi girsl!!!

flight was 1 hour and 15 mins delyaed but we only got here half our late to heavey heavy rain and thunder!!!

Its so hot!!

Our rooom is very nice! my dress is fine and not creased at all!! up very early as still on uk time!!

Going to get the license today

courthouse was good, in and out in 10 mins!!!

I got strap marks!!!!!!!! need to get a strapless top to get rid of them!! so hot here today, said 96 in the car!!!

So glad everything went well at court house it must all feel so real now.....i am so excited and i am not even there :rotfl:

Which court house did you go to in the end?
Am i right in thinking you only need your passport?

I will be running home from work on monday straight onto stan website to watch the wedding....can not wait you will look amazing!!!:bride:
