No AP Discounts for The Poly in December?

My travel agent says she doesn't think there will *ever* be any more discounts for this month at this hotel because the hotel is too popular. :sad2:

What was the last time anyone got a discount for a room at the Poly in December?

I KNOW there were AP discounts for the Poly this month. When I was checking and rechecking to get GF at an AP rate, it kept offering me Poly discounts. For example Poly GV/8 nts for about $2100. They also offered Poly concierge and lagoon view rooms. FYI I was checking for our Xmas stay - so the discounted rate included check ins thru 12/23 and could possibly continue for the length of your stay. I could get 12/19 - 12/27.

Hmmm, I wonder when those rates were released??!! We got no discount for this year's trip for the last day in Nov/first week in Dec. :sad2:

Anyway, I'm looking for something for next year (2007). Can't do it without a discount.

I am an AP and Fla resident... I did get the Fla resident rate for our Poly stay 12/21..... now.... if you will allow me to vent a bit. I have NEVER been able to get a Poly ressie for any of the last 10 WDW stays.... and so of course I am doing the happy dance :banana: that not only did I get a ressie but the discount too....!!!! FYI... the AP got me squat.

Not sure what discounts you were looking for but I have clients there on AAA and the ticket ticket upgrade/room discount promo

We just came back from an AP rate on a garden view room at the Poly-- we were able to get it 12/2-12/9, and took it for 12/4-12/9. I won't say it was easy to get, but with a lot of checking we got lucky. :)

I think there will always be discounted room rates at the Poly for December. Now -- what kind of rates, how many rooms, what type of rooms are discounted and how to get the discount is unpredictable. It all depends on the various marketing techniques.
January is always AAA Month. Ask then what is being offered for next January. Maybe nothing in January for December 2007. :confused3 But certainly worth asking!

She goofed up. There were discounts started right after Thanksgiving that I remember and probably before, too, with a few days around Thanksgiving blacked out. They came out in late October, I believe.
