Looking for a family restaurant closeby or in BUF (it would have to be prior to security check point since DH will be with us but not flying).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

There is a Dennys right at the corner of the airport.

I hate the place but no trip to the States is complete without a trip to Dennys. At least for my DD.

Hi, there are some places on Transit Rd, it meets up with Genese St. It's to the left of the airport if you are looking out from the airport. There is also a Walmart and Eastern Hills Mall, about 10 mins north on Transit. You want to make a left on to Transit from Genese.

It isn't that close, but we are headed to the Olive Garden, about a 10 minute drive away, I think.
I miss their salad and breadsticks. East Side Marios doesn't even come close!

Also, as of Dec 11, A Cheesecake Factory will be opening at the Galleria Mall (saw the sign this weekend) Which is just across the street from the Olive Garden, and about 10min from the airport.

We found a great spot on Main St, a couple of miles before the airport exit if you're coming across the Lewiston Bridge. If you turn to the left onto Main St., it's about a mile up the road on the right hand side right beside the Original Pancake House. The name is Glen Park Tavern but don't let the name fool you. It's very family oriented. We were there again Friday night. It has the best crab cakes I've ever tasted and is very affordable too. The menu has something for everyone. You won't regret it.

We found an Italian place, La Bella Sicilia, isn't much to look at but the food is AWESOME and plentiful. It is also very resonably priced. My kids get a slice of pizza for $2. I always get their veal parm and pasta, it is so good. My hubby always gets something different and has liked it all (Lasagna, peppers and sausage etc) Everything that rolls out of their kitchen looks delicious. There is too much food and for dessert the cannoli.....WOW. It is located at 2905 Gennesee ST. (the same street as the airport). It is always packed and again, isn't much to look at but the food is great. We went their on Saturday actually after getting our cards for Nexxus. My mouth is watering.

The Olive Garden gets my vote. We love Olive Garden! Would love if they came back to Canada.

The last time we were there, we asked the server if they knew why they no longer had restaurants in Canada. She replied, It was because of a labour dispute. Apparently the workers in the U.S. wanted the same pay and treatment as the employees in Canada. Olive Garden thought Canadian labour laws were to strict and min wage too high, so away they went. :confused3 I don't know if this is true, but I have only worked for large Americian owned companies and this is always an issue at forecast time.
