Waitlist advice

Hey All,
Just found out that we will be at Disney between X-mas and New Years for DD's soccer. Of course, there is no DVC available for that time. Well now I'm on the waitlist. well, plan B means staying off site with the team during the tournament. We would love to go a few days early since we already have annual passes. Does anyone have any advice? Do we have a shot of the waitlist coming through? I can't imagine going for soccer and not spending a few extra days at the parks.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. :confused3

I would not hold my breath, I know of 6 people on a waite list for dec. Book of site and cancel if you reservation comes in.

You could try to get a none DVC room and pay cash. But like the other poster, I would go to plan B. The waitlists are long. Plus most holdiay visitors have passed the 30 day cancellation deadline.

I've been on the waitlist for 4-6 weeks for the Dec 27th - Jan 2 for a studio or 1BR anywhere. The only thing that has been available is the weekend.

I do have a reservation on site but waited DVC. Looks like I will be at POR though.

I would still waitlist.

Just today, I had my waitlist come thru for a SSR 1 bdr Dec 30-Jan 6. SSR must be releasing a bldg into inventory, so the list may not be as long as you think. :cool1: This was a fairly recent waitlist (less than a month old).

I have 2 UY's and sometimes I forget to list both UY's so I was late listing this one.

I heard from Disney aqnd I got the first 3 nights from the waitlist. I'm really loving that waitlist. Here's hoping that the 31st and 1st come through.

It may, I just got an OKW Studio for 01/01/2007. On the list for about a week!

Don't give up!! My waitlist for the entire stay (12/27 - 1/2) came through last week for a 1 BR. So, we will be staying at SSR for the first time. We are very excited the waitlist came through for us.

So, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
