Checking IN at the VWL?

This will be our first stay at VWL and we're awfully excited.
Now, with recent events and the level of cancelations at WDW, what has been the recent check-in wait? Has anyone been able to get their room before 4pm? Stayed at FW recently and we were able to get our cabin at 10:30am with no wait. Wondering if VWL is experiencing the same thing. Thanks so much!

We checked in the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We were close to the start of the line (only a few in front of DH) and it took about 30-40 minutes. However, right after my DH got in line, about 10 other couples/families joined the line. I think it took them more than an hour. This was around 11:00 AM. Our room was ready.

Don't remember how long we waited in line Oct. 6 but room was ready at 12:30 pm when we arrived. If you've made request, i.e. non-smoking, etc, check your room with the CM before leaving. We didn't but wished we had as we didn't get anything requested. (I know request are not guaranteed - only requested non-smoking/non-handicapped) We may have been able to get something else had we only asked at check-in. Have a great time, VWL is wonderful.
