Awww....So cute!!!! You're lucky...you know how hard it is to find clothes for dogs over 25 pounds??!! I love dressing Kacie up, but she needs an XL and that's almost inpossible to find...all they have are the teeny tiny ones!!

I'm still not able to post anything so keep the pictures coming. Everyone's babies are soooo cute!

We have a border collie mix named Muffy. She's 2 1/2 and just alot of fun to play with - she loves to play, and run, and dig, and hates squirrels that come into HER yard. She's mostly black but has white on her belly and front paws. She's definitely our little girl! We rescued her from our local animal shelter when she was 9 months old and life has not been the same since! :rotfl2:

We also have Kaht which is short for King Alexander (Hyper) Troublemaker. He's going on 16 years old, doesn't always act it though. He's a black & white Maine Coon cat mix; my parents rescued him as a kitten and when my mom passed and dad came to live with us - so did Kaht. I wasn't about to leave him behind! He's been an indoor cat for the past 2 1/2 years and he loves it! And we love him.

I'd love to dress up either furbaby, but Kaht is definitely not one for dressing up (except for his collar); and with Muffy I'm lucky enough to get a bandana on her! :lmao:

awww your animals are so cute! i'm sad today....i have an appointment at 2:15pm to put my oldest dog down :sad1: he is a chocolate lab named alex, he is 12, and he is the best dog in the world! i could not have asked for a better pet for my kids! or for me!! he is my middle child! oh, this is killing me, he is laying here at my feet sleeping. he is just old, has arthritis, large bumps all over him (probably cancer the vet says), only 30% of his sight left. we have throw rugs all through the house b/c he can't walk on the wood floors anymore (for about the past year). its just time. we leave for wdw this thursday night, and i can't stand the thought of something happening to him while we are gone. we have a dog sitter staying at the house for our other animals, but i would worry about alex the whole time. :guilty: he couldn't have had a better life. he thinks hes a human, :teeth: he is so spoiled. i still remember getting him when he was 7 wks old....its going ot be a tough day...

we also have a 2 1/2 yo female chocolate lab, laci. and a 1 yo cat, gracie. my dd is so sad, its a good thing we have wdw to keep her mind busy for a while.

i'm sorry to make this thread a downer....i just had to share. i can't seem to get my pics to post.....grrrr

This is Ralphie. He's my beautiful English Spot mix bunny dude. We adopoted him from the SPCA about 2 1/2 years ago. He was found running around as a stray in a not-so-nice part of town and someone was kind enough to bring him in. He was obviously someone's beloved pet because he was in good shape and well-cared for. I'm sure someone misses him, but no one went in to claim him so we adopted him. He's a very sweet bun who will lick your hand when you pet him. It's his way of giving kisses. Ralphie will be going to my parent's house on Thursday for bunny-sitting. We're leaving for WDW on Friday. We also have a beautiful tan bunny girl named Ashley. I don't have any pictures of her downloaded but will have to work on that. Ashley was mistreated before being dumped at the SPCA. A bunny rescue organization took her in and we adopted her from there. She's also a sweet bun! I will miss my bunnies, but I know my parents and my sister will take good care of them for me while we're gone!

Shellymouse - i'm absolutely gutted to hear about Alex. Its heart renching to lose a pet. I had to have my English Springer Spaniel "Danny" laid to sleep very suddenly one night about 8 years ago as he was having trouble breathing - i've NEVER got over him - he was my little brother and friend who always used to be there for me when I was down. Just a sorrowful look up at me with those lovely soppy eyes used to make me smile no matter what! ahhhhh I miss him so much :o)

Everyone - your pets are just soooo cute. Keep them coming as i'm in an "Awwwwwwww" mood :o)

On an happier note, this is my daughter Shannon and her dog, Pharaoh... We rescued Pharaoh from the Greyhound races. He was 3 yrs old when we got him, the same age as Shannon... They bonded quickly... he is a great pet. We all love him very much.

I know what you are going through, I also have a dog, Muffin, and she is 19 years old. But now that I've moved out of the house, it's my father that takes care of her, thank god he is there. She is blind but she has no lumps and she is not suffering. She can't hold herself anymore so my when she gets up my dad has to bring her outside as soon as she gets up or else..... I know it is time for us too but it is not easy to make that decision. Almost 20 years, she is part of the family so...... I am so sorry and tell yourself that your dog will definitely go to heaven. :grouphug: I know it will not be easy.

This is Flubber. I got him around Xmas 97. My DH was at work and an employee came in and told everyone that her cat had kittens. Her son stepped on one of them by accident and she was taking him to the SPCA. My DH went to her house that night and took Flubs home with him. After many xrays the vet told us Flubbie had a severe broken leg in 3 places and that the knee joint and hip joint were damaged. We fixed him all up and he's been great ever since. He's doing the famouse Flubbie tuck the paws under you trick LOL

thanks all for your kind words! i'm so sad, but i know it was time, and it was the right thing to do. i swore to myself i would not let him suffer! he couldn't have been a better friend for me, and i couldn't repay him for that by being selfish and keep him here. his body was so tired. it all went very smooth at the vet y-day. we laid a blanket down, and i laid there with him, telling him i loved him, giving him kisses, and petting him the whole time. i told my dh, thats the way i want to go.....he just went to sleep. then we took him to my sisters, and buried him under a big tree next to my sisters golden retriever, kaylee. she had to be put down last spring. they were 3 months apart in age, and they were best friends! i know he is in heaven playing with kaylee now. in the spring we will get him a headstone.
i'm doing so much better than i thought i would be. i think b/c i had plenty of time to prepare, and in a way there is a little relief.....that he is not struggling to make it down the 3 stairs to go potty, or struggle to walk through the house to eat. he is now pain free.....but i miss him so much it hurts!

thanks again everyone....btw....i love all these pics! your animals are soooo cute!

What a handsome bunny!!!! Thanks so much for sharing your picture of Ralphie. Last week I lost my beloved rabbit Oswald. Oswald was 11-he died peacefully. Ironically he was at the vet's ofice; the vet was checking Oswald out and Oswald fell over and died. The vet thinks it was a heart attack. I was sooooo sad but now I am happy to know he died a peaceful death and he is now in a much better place. I miss him like mad but I know he is always with us.

I am so happy to hear you are giving two buns a good home. Please give them big hugs.

Shellymouse-I am so sorry for your loss-I feel your sadness but share in the joy of your special memories with your very special pal.

I still have to get a picture on her on-line. I'm sorry to hear about your bunny. But, 11 years is a nice long life for a bunny. I'm sure he was happy and had lots of love. I'm going to miss my beautiful fluffies when we leave for our trip on Friday. But, they'll be staying at my parents' house. My dad likes having them and gives them pets and little treats all the time. I'm sure they'll be happy campers! I always enjoy meeting other bunny people! oh dear - you will be sorry that you offered free advise now! ha ha.

Yes they are the first huskies that i've had. We did alot of reading up on them and 2 couples we are friends with, actually breed huskies, so we asked as many questions as possible.

Although today i'm sad. Since last week we have left them to roam the down stairs whilst were out. Unfortuantely yesterday they decided they were bored and our year old carpet got the brunt of their boredom. Pulled up in a corner and chewed (eventually we can replace that corner as we have lots to spare), and the printer cable and also the phone cable got chewed too. Plus the 2 cushions and the underside of a chair! Oh well, what do we expect when we leave them alone!! We thought getting 2 would be suitable to keep each other company ..... i'm starting to think it doesnt mean anything other than double the trouble!!

I will pm you with a few questions is thats ok?

I don't have a picture of my cat but I can tell you that she is spoiled. Her name is Sheba and she is a gray tabby house cat. She is always scared out of her mind if she has to go outside- the only place she goes is to the vet and she shakes like a leaf in the wind inside her cat carrier. Last nite I got out my suitcase (leaving in the morning). I think she knows that something is happening because she climbed on top of it and went to sleep. Sorry Sheba I can stow you away in my suitcase.

I used to have a rottweiiler named Yukon. We gave him away to a family that lives in the country. They wanted to use him as a stud (you go boy!!!). It is so hard to raise such a big dog in the city. Man do I miss him. He was my friend and guard dog!!!!

Luv Bunnies-

I hope you can post a picture of Ashley-I would love to see her! I loved the creative way in which you named her-our bunny was named (very un originally might I add) after Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Most people think I have a Kennedy obsession (Lee Harvery Oswald...)

Oswald had a great life and 11 is old for a bunny, but he got THE BEST care. I picked up his ashes yesterday (he was cremated) and it made the whole thing final-DS 7 is so sad. We still have four cats and one dog to look after so we must move forward.

On a much lighter note I hope you have an enjoyable trip!!!! We are staying at POP for a few days in January-our first time there. Your bunnies will be well cared for so you can go have a great time!!!!! All the best!

I have an AWESOME Basset Hound, named Toby. He's small for a Basset, and is the only dog I've ever met that doesn't give kisses. Several times when walking him around the neighborhood, we'll run into some kids who put their faces right down on his level, hoping for some kisses. I hate to dissappoint them, but all he'll do is sniff and then nudge their hands to start petting.

Your greyhound is just like ours... how cute... I have a question... is he sitting down? Mine can't sit down.. and I was told by the organism that they can't sit... so I should not to force him to sit... All your Furkids are cute!

Yes she is sitting, she sits alot but not on command. Some do sit some not. I see you are from Canada, I get alot of my dogs collars from someone that lives there. Your boy is quite handsome, I am partial to the ones that are fawn color.

darn it - your pic of the conure isnt available anymore!! I'd love to see it. We nearly bought 2 red conures recently (but then the dogs came along) - they are gorgeous birds!!

and the african grey is soooooo cute!!! We were thinking about one of those too at the time

The king charles cavalier is cooooo gorgeous! I had one called Charlie when i was younger - he was lovely and friendly and i miss him lots. But most of all i miss my springer called Danny. He died many years ago but i miss him terribly and still cant get over his death (even to the point of saying i'm looking forward to seeing him when i pass away - sad but true!)

I'm going to miss my pups soooo much next year when we go to world :(

Here's my Sammy- the best dog in the world (and the only other female in my house!) She will not "talk" to me for a good two days after we get back from WDW!

Okay- cancel that- I can't post attachments? I wonder why?

Anyway she's a big (105lb) chocolate lab with a heart of gold. She's 6 and already suffered through all my boys being born (she loved them from day 1) as well as uterine cancer???? She's just the best.

Here is my dog, this is Rhoda, a 10 year old toy poodle. We have had her since she was 12 weeks old. She is everything and more than we hoped for in a dog. She is perfect in our eyes.

Here is our parakeet, sitting on my computer. He is alot of fun and very friendly, he can let himself out of his cage in the morning and he stays out all day, flying around the house.

Shellymouse, I sat here in tears reading your postings. I don't have pictures of my dogs where I can upload them, but have 2 Boston Terriers (Mozart 11 and Constanze,8) and a Boxer (Bubble Gum 1 1/2). My 11 yr old Boston is my first child. Got him 3 months after getting married and moving away from my family. My DH is deployed right now and I keep telling my Mozart he has to stick around until Daddy comes home because I can't deal with it alone. If I goof and say "Daddy is coming home" he will look at the garage door for Daddy to come through. He is just about totally blind now, but still gets around well and knows where that garage door is.

My sympathies go out to the other members who have mentioned losing loved ones.

All of the pictures are great. I may try to figure out how to get some pictures on here so I can show my babies.

Our German Shepherd, Fritzi. I didn't pick the name. My stepdad wanted something German. That's what he found. :confused3 Great dog, though.

Here is my gorgeous and very spoilt 'furbaby' Holly. In this picture she is in her jogger stroller (named 'the magical express' hehehe) due to her having a VERY bad (and expensive year) following bilateral knee reconstructions, cruciated ligament repairs (a few weeks after her big knee op she did her cruciate!!!), pancreatitis (even though she's on the top vet prescribed liver diet food), and was then diagnosed with chronic liver disease and had to be tested for thyroid disease, cushings disease and addisons disease (all which they thought she had but she didn't). Then she had a 'funny' turn a few months back where she started SCREAMING for no apparent reason...so $600 later, after x-rays and a general anaesthetic and a few injections of morphine they found nothing wrong and she perked up!!! So, as I walk a lot (1.5 hrs a day) and she has always LOVED coming walking with me, I got her 'The magical express' stroller (which is pretty embarassing) but at least I know i'm giving her the best quality of life that I can,and although she can no longer walk far, she LOVES nothing more than sitting in her stroller with her tinkerbell hat and scarf on and walking with me!!! She was SO worth the $6000 I've spent on her this year!!! I will miss her ssooooo much when I come from Australia to DW, but she will be fine as my Mum and Dad(who we live with and she LOVES) will be taking care of her.....she will sleep in their room (will miss my bed hehehe) and probably keep them awake with her LOUD snoring!!! I am sure I will find her a lovely gift to bring home (I would love to find her a magical express sign to hang off her stroller:rotfl: )!!! She is the best!!!!

But, I have my two lovie dovie toy poodles named Pierre and Figaro!! They are my 4th and 5th children;)

I am leaving for WDW in 13 days, and the only sad part of my vacation is sending my furbabies to the dog sitter:guilty: Even though she is great, I will miss them terribly!!! Anyone else hate leaving there furbabies behind???
