We are also planning a DIS dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern at the MK before MNSSHP begins! Make sure to let us know if you plan on attending the special DIS dinner with all of us and the Disney characters in their Halloween costumes!

I've talked to a couple of other DIS'ers about our DIS Dinner at LTT and we've decided the best way for this to work is to limit it at 16 people for me to make reservations, so we can get two of the larger tables and sit together. This will make things much easier for us DIS'ers, especially us going solo to just meet up with each other. We are going to limit the reservations that I make to all of those solo DIS'ers joining the Party or with one other person. I hope everyone understands our decision and the reasons why.

We will announce when our reservations have been made and the time we received, then if anyone else wants to eat at LTT at the exact same time, you can call and make your reservation with your own party, family, etc. That way we can still all see one another and meet each other! Maybe we will take over the entire restaurant! :rotfl2:

Costumes are also very important and right now we have all decided to go with a DISney Princess theme! princess: We would love everyone to wear a lime green t-shirt with their DIS name on it and we are going to also put a special Mickey's Not So Scary DIS Party logo on it! We want everyone to see us coming! :rotfl2: Oh, and don't forget your lime green Crocs if you've got them! :thumbsup2

As far as I can tell mid-Oct is good. I may get a rude awakening when I start articling in August (I'm going back to the same firm that I summered with and so I know their demands), but we do get some vacation time, and if I can find a cheap flight I don't see why I couldn't at least take a Friday off and make a long weekend out of it.

I am thinking about sneaking away from Thursday night til Monday night. (Oct 4th-8th) Unfortunately, this is DH's birthday weekend. I'll have to see. Maybe I'll come solo on a different weekend.

It'll have to be a Friday then, since there is no MNSSHP on the weekends. I know that makes things difficult! I guess Disney doesn't want it more packed on the weekends than it needs to be.

A friday it's perfect..I can arrive that same friday in the morning and leave on Monday...only "missing" two days at work.

Notice right off that I'm crying. :sad1: I do not think I can make the Oct trip. First, the 12th is not part of the long weekend. That would be the 8th we have off.
Secondly, I have to start back up with my masters classes (if I'd like to stay employed), which also means that I have to pay for them. Two classes costs the same as a trip to WDW for me.:sad2: And at this rate I won't finish until August of '08.
If, by any chance, I come across a big windfall of cash,then I will certainly be there. But I will stay in touch and see what you all come up with for costume ideas, just in case.

I just realized today that we could do the party as well as the cruise (the very slight advantage of the 4-night cruise over the 7-night) and I'm incredibly excited. I dunno! It seems that the people planning on going "us" are able to go at any time and are flexible with our dates. Right!? Personally, I think the Friday with the 3-day weekend would be the best with being able to get more people to know thay can goo now or in a few months when more DIS'ers find out about the Party! Plus, we'll probably find some more Florida DIS'ers, who can make it! That's my opinion, but what do you guys think?

Can you give me any info on why the All Star Movies is your favorite over the other all stars, or Pop Century? I'm going to stay for three nights at one of the value ones in October '07, and can't tell if there are differences between the group.

I prefer Pop Century because it's newer and has only one bus stop.
The All Stars all share the busses at one point or another. And I've
stayed in the "boonies" in the 90s section, but I found that I can cross
the parking lot to the bus stop fairly quickly, which also means a fairly
quick trip to the food court.

And well, since the dates have changed to October 5th, I am officially "out"
of the list. I'll just choose another day, regardless. Have fun those
who are going on October 5th!

Yay! i can go! i couldn't go for the last date you had mentioned because i can only go on a friday as it will be my senior year and i can't miss the bajillion AP classes i'm taking(ok maybe not a bajillion but 4 out of 7 classes is already quite frightening). this way i'll be able to head up to orlando w/ my beaux after school and get to meet you all as well as eat tons of candy and ride space mountain and puke up that candy...:sick: ok maybe i'll ride space mountain before eating all that candy! :cool1:

Since it's a Friday I can probably make it - YAY! I won't know for sure until it gets closer, but I'm adding myself to the list because I think it will work out perfect. I can stay in Orlando with one of my friends who lives over there (since I'll be at Disney in September for the scrapbooking convention - can't afford a hotel too many times!)

BTW - most people down here do not get Columbus Day off. When I lived in NJ I got the day off, it's a big deal up north, but not here in Florida. The only time I got it off in Florida was when I worked for a bank. We also don't get off for MLK or Veteran's Day :sad2:

BTW - most people down here do not get Columbus Day off. When I lived in NJ I got the day off, it's a big deal up north, but not here in Florida. The only time I got it off in Florida was when I worked for a bank. We also don't get off for MLK or Veteran's Day :sad2:

We are planning a Mickey's Not So Scary DIS Party for October 5! The plan is we will get together and do MNSSHP all together, DIS style! :thumbsup2 It is set for Friday, October 5 and the date won't change, so you have to buy a ticket for the party to come! We are probably going to plan a dinner where we will all meet for the first time, eat, and then party the night away at MNSSHP! We will be making the plans as the time moves along! Oh, and of course this means we all must wear cool DIS Halloween costumes! We will think of a theme later! :banana:

I'm with you, what could we plan next?? I am so excited about this trip I think I am busting at the seams. I can't wait to meet all of you and I look forward to getting to know you all better, feel free to PM me at anytime. LTT is so good! The mac 'n cheese is awesome! As soon as we get an accurate headcount, we can make ADR's and we will need to make them early with as many people as we will have. So, we may have to cut-off the deadline for the party a few months early, so we can make sure everyone can come to the dinner! It'll be a blast! :woohoo:

Aww that stinks that we will miss each other. But I love going solo, so much fun you can do what you want when you want. But the only thing I miss is having someone to talk with. But the CM's are great and I think you kind of learn a lot about yourself and others when your solo. anyway ill step off my soapbox now lol :rotfl: .

Alright Im booked too! lol I checked online and saw that value season ends the 4th so Im comming the 3rd to catch the last day of that and staying till the 7th. When i looked on disneyworld.com it quoted me $369 for pop century. So i just called them and got the AAA discount for 4 nights at $295.20! Ohhh im so excited! Alright Im booked too! lol I checked online and saw that value season ends the 4th so Im comming the 3rd to catch the last day of that and staying till the 7th. When i looked on disneyworld.com it quoted me $369 for pop century. So i just called them and got the AAA discount for 4 nights at $295.20! Ohhh im so excited! I wont need tickets because im getting an annual pass in May so i figured this was a great deal! Im getting so excited! :banana: :banana: :banana:

Oh nuts. Disappointing as it is, I'm not staying in a cabin -- I'm going to be tenting. I know! I'm crazy! And broke! ;) But I really like camping (even though I've never actually tented by myself) and for $41/night for a site with electricity and water, it's something waaaay within my budget. Plus, what better place to camp than WDW? Of course, I am gonna be all alone out there in the wilderness. :scared: Some of you might have to come by and make sure I haven't been mauled to death by bears ... or alligators! And roast a marshmallow or two while you're at it.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you information about the cabins. I know they sleep about 4-6 people and have bunk beds and a double in one room, and a Murphy bed in the main area. I'm pretty sure they run about $250 during value season. I'd love to stay there someday.

I agree...I don't picture myself in a Dress trying to get into space mountain (is this open on MNSSHP?). I love Pop too, I stayed there for the first time this past June and fell in love with it, it is such a happy place!!!:)

The Mickey pumpkin lights are so darn cute. I will have to take a picture of them and scan them so you can see them.:)

You'll probably all think I am totally nuts, however I was thinking some of us if not all of us, not sure how many would be interested, should go over to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and get our nails and hair done before dinner on Friday night. I have always wanted to visit over there but usually travel solo so was kind of intimated. I know lots of people debate if it should just be for kids but I know a lot of adults have done it too and they look so happy and pretty. Anyone else, ideas, thoughts???:)

Not at all. If it wasn't such a quick trip for me, I would go the night before too. I was orginally going to come down Wed and stay through Sun, but with work schedule, etc, it just wasn't happening. But I don't think you are nuts at all, I say Go For It!!!:)

You are absolutely right. I made my May 2007 BBB ressie at exactly 180 days out with no problems! Yes, I'm gonna be a BBB princess twice this year! Tinkerbell, you're right - if we can't be kids at Disney, what is the world coming to? Our lives are filled with enough stress day by day, so when I get to Disney, I want to forget the outside world and be a little girl again. And every Disney trip I've made has accomplished that. :goodvibes

Thanks! At 34 years old, this graduation was a long time in the making and I'm soooo glad I decided to go back to school a couple of years ago. Best decision I ever made!
