Is anyone using the new Nike+ technology with their Ipod?

I am getting some new shoes (see other post). This looks cool. I don't have an IPod but I would get one if I could use it with my shoes. Is it really as cool as it looks? It is a lot of money for something that doesn't work well. Thanks.

Yep they are really cool. My DS has them. I on the other hand cannot use Nike's, too narrow for my foot.

The system works with any pair of shoes. You need to velcro the pickup unit to your shoe laces. You don't need to wear the Nike shoe to use it. They even sell the velco systems to help you our. Marware is the vendor for the sensor unit. My problem is getting it calibrated correctly.

Thanks everyone. I didn't know I could use it with another shoe. Good to know as I am off shoe shopping this week.
