So, show us your most favorite photo. It could be of anything and for any reason. And tell us why it is your favorite, it is because of who is in it, something about the photo, some memory it has for you. Again it can be anything, and from any time.

This is my current favorite photo. I had just bought my D50 a couple of days before and went out for the weekend to practice with it. This was one of the shots I took that weekend. I think it captures the feeling of autumn in New England pretty well.

Admitting that my wife took this one, because I was driving the boat. This is one of my all time favorites. The look on my son's face shows me why we do the things we do...

I have always loved this photo - I took soon after we moved to Orlando. Before that my cats were totally indoor cats, but now they had the run of the screened lanai, and had lots of fun hiding and hunting lizards!

Okay- I had to pick two...

This one was about 6 months ago right after I got my D70. I love the colors and sharpness.

This one is about 5 years ago when my oldest was a flower girl. Taken with digital P&S so quality is so-so. Middle and youngest daughters are both doing the flower girl thing in two different weddings next summer- I can't wait!

Here are some of the pics I've taken with my XTi so far. I took these pics after I only had the camera for 6 days (and was taking pictures at a wedding as one of two official photographers  )

My favorite picture changes from day to day, but these two are near the top any time. I also took Jan's cue and started playing with mats in PS, something I hadn't really done before. I kind of like it.

Highlights are blown, and my younger dd is a little out of focus, but I had to snap fast--those moments when they're happy together are often fleeting!

This one is probably my all time favorite because it helped to give me the push to finally do what I love to do for a living rather than just my hobby. For some reason it was after taking this picture that I realized that this is what I was meant to do; trying to capture these moments in time.

It is of my husband and our youngest son...

Like most of us, my favorite changes regularly... here's one that I really like from a month or two ago. Nothing fancy, something that almost any camera could have taken... but I really like how it turned out. I love the expression on his face. I did take several in a row so that helped, I guess!

http://www.cathythelibrarian.com/gallery/main.php/d/838-2/Jack119.jpg

For pictures of places, I have several from Romania that I'm extremely fond of, but I don't have those online in a place that can handle a lot of views at the moment.

These are 2 of my all time favorite pictures. They were both taken with my Nikon N6006 film SLR during my travel days. I scanned them quite a few years ago so there not anyway near as big as they could be. When I find the software for my photo scanner I'll scan them again for better resolution.

First one was is of the (at the time, it may have changed since) beach at the Melia Mayan Resort in Cozumel, Mexico. Taken in Dec 1992.
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e234/handicap18/Misc%20Photo%20Gallery/Non-Digital%20Favorites/czmmayan.jpg

This one was taken during Tall Ships Boston July 11, 1992. I remember the day well as it was also the day of my first of 16 Jimmy Buffett concerts. That certainly was a long day. But hey when your in your early 20's you can do anything!!
It is the Dutch tall ship: Christian Radich: Taken as it was pulling into a birth at the World Trade Center in Boston.

My boys are my favorite subject so I had to pick 2 of them. Both old pics and I'm not even sure what camera I took them with, not an SLR anyway.

Like fitzperry you gotta love these moments were they are the best of friends, it's hard to get a picture of that it happens so infrequently.

Everyones photos are beautiful! I have several that I love, but I will post three of my current favorites.

I did not take this photo, but it is a cherished photo of my mother as a little girl and my beloved grandmother (deceased). I do not have too much to remember her by so it is very dear to me.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m219/midge3426/GrandmamaandMomca1940.jpg

This one is my DD10 walking through Downtown Disney in September. I just think it looks cool.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m219/midge3426/Annawalking06.jpg

I took this photo at Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans. I like the juxtaposition of the white vaults with the dark storm clouds. Too cool.

This was taken in June at the Grand Cayman Butterfly Farm. We took an island tour as one of our excursions on our 7 night western Disney cruise.

This is a rare butterfly that I was incredibly lucky enough to catch actually laying an egg.

This picture symbolizes the great time I had rafting on the Salmon River. You can even see the water dripping off our PFDs.

http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e240/mallonek/Venture%2005/TypicalRapids.jpg

It's rare that anyone takes pictures of the guys at a campfire and I was lucky to get one with the smoke and sparks flying; I really like the mood it conveys.

http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e240/mallonek/Venture%2005/IMG_2956ed.jpg

But one of my absolute favorite photos of all times is one of my oldest Disney pics. It helps me remember that wonderful "first" visit to Disney World as a family in 1990 with our son who was four. We were returning our car at the airport and Tim just sat in a chair and "dropped into sleep" exhausted.

I guess it's not just me where your favorite pictures changes regularly. Right now it's this one. I had all three of them just sitting on the log and I took a ton of pictures trying to capture their silhouette. But then I took a few more shots as they were getting up and walking towards me and I like the one of them up and moving better than the posed ones I did.
