Cab or rental car? Going to Florida Mall

I need an expert opinion!! We leave for WDW 12/13 for 4 days - 2 adults - staying at Yacht Club. Last year we used Tiffany Town Car to get back and forth from the airport and Disney transportation between the parks - worked out great! My husband loved the service from Tiffany and "loved" not having to drive on unfamiliar roads. Problem for this year - we want to go to The Disney Store at the Florida Mall early on Saturday morning - that will be the last week of the Disney Store pin collection. Would it make more sense to rent a car for the whole trip or use the transportation we're used to and get a cab to and from the Florida Mall? Anyone have a feel of how expensive and dependable the cab service is? Anyone have a better idea?

That's the kicker that makes the decision a razor thin close call.

Otherwise I vote for renting a car for the whole trip. For two people shop around for both subcompact and economy, for some companies economy costs least even though it is on the list between subcompact and intermediate.
