wow.............opened up my mail today from loews and the card was platinum.

now i can play with the high rollers, eh.......

spending the rest of the evening searching old threads on the thrill of having the platinum loews membership card.

2 years ago i was supposed to move up the ladder from gold to platinum but due to a computer glitch it did not go thru.

gave up on complaining and inquiring.
guess my last stay last month is what boosted me up.


all you platinum members out there, tell me how good it is to have this card.

We were upgraded to a top floor, corner level, ocean view suite in Santa Monica which was absolutely heaven. Suite again in Montreal and will be enjoying a suite at the PBH in February.

YOu book the lowest price one you can get.

Go for the extended checkout. If you can check out at 2pm instead of noon, that's huge. You can spend an entire morning in the parks, come back, shower, pack, and check out at 2pm. Head to the airport and catch a 5pm flight.

They automatically give you a check out of noon, but being able to leave at 2pm is almost like having an extra day.

I just got my upgrade to gold and it says that you are guaranteed a room, but when I went online the date I selected said that HRH was booked. I am wondering if I have to call Loews? :confused3

i already get the extended check out by using my gold card.
have never checked out at regular time, always 2 pm.

my flights out are always night flights around 8-8:30 pm

when i used my gold card in october, i told them when i made the ressie i was requesting late check out.

it was on my file when i checked in.
i was told it was best to request that when i made the ressie, but that was when i had gold.

now with the big P, i will still make that request in advance in case the hotel is sold out for the days i will be there.

i always go during HHN times and hrh is usually booked up in advance.

i assume you can make the late check out request when you check in with platinum and it should be honored.........but i take no chances
