There were 4 of us on this trip...myself,20's daughter, teen son and Bf. We were on the dining plan
Day 1 Spoodles.
We ordered the dips, garlic shrimp and calamari for appetizers,
The mediterranian dips were great, the calamari was perfectly crispy and tender served over some kind of sauce with tomatoes, pepperoncini, and olives...it complemented the calamari well.
The garlic Shrimp was cooked perfectly but came out cold.
2 orders of rigatoni , one without mushrooms, both pronounced Very Good. The mushrooms are ground up in the sauce, but they had a sauce available without the ground up mushrooms.
I had the portuguese stew. Lots of grouper, did not see any oysters as advertised. Had a few shrimp and clams. No mussels or calamari. This had a really odd flavour. I think there was an entire sliced onion in my bowl. I ended up picking out a few pieces of seafood/fish. I would not order this again.
Daughter ordered the fettucini. She said it was good , but rich. She did not finish it.
Desserts were taken to go, White chocolate cake, very good.

Chocolate Apricot Pistachio Cake, took a bite and threw it away, tasted stale.
Overall, I would return to this restaraunt for appetizers only.
2 non alcoholic sangrias were allowed onthe dining plan, and the kids loved them.
Service was very good.

Day 2
Wolfang Puck Cafe.
Bf did not join us for the meal, so it was the three of us.
This along with Le Cellier, was the highlight of our trip.
For appetizers, my son got the bbq chicken quesadilla, which he gobbled up so fast that we didn't get a chance to taste it,so it must have been good.
I got the asian spring rolls, very good, although the plum sauce they serve it with tastes like old socks. Much better without dipping them in the sauce.
My daughter got the Spinach dip. The dip itself was very good. The "crispy parm flatbread...well it was flat and crunchy, but stale tasting. The dip tasted better on the bread served at the table.
I got a glass of WP Chardonnay, very good.
Entrees were 2 Raviolis, which were excellent.
Thay allowed me to order from the sushi menu on the dining plan, I was very happy.
I got a sushi/sashami combo. I am not a tuna fan. But the Sashimi that night was a seared tuna, and it was very good and perfecly spiced. I did not eat the tuna rolls it was served with, but tried the california roll, good., and 5 other pieces of fish, including salmon, which is my favorite. There was so much I could not even eat half of the plate. But I was happy I got my sushi fix.
The kids got key lime pie for dessert, again to go, and I ordered white choc. cheesecake.
They enjoyed the key lime pie, and I enjoyed the cheesecake for breakfast the following morning.

Lecellier and Kona...
Lecellier was great. Service was outstanding. We were able to order smoothies for a drink. 3 cheese soups, very good. I got the crab and salmon timbale, tasted kind of like crab and cream cheese dip with a piece of smoked salmon on it. Not what I was expecting, but ok. Dinners were 2 prime rib, very good, mushroom filet...filet was perfect, but the risotto was undercooked...crunchy. Pork tenderloin and sweet potatoes, very good.
3 Whiskey cakes, and I got the creme brulee. I did not like the maple, but the creme brulee was done perfectly. This was a very good meal. Came to about 225 plus drinks for the four of us. What a bargain on the dining plan. It seems like LeCelleir was even better than last year. I almost cancelled due to some bad reviews, but was happy I didn't.
Kona, our final meal, was a letdown .We had dined here last year, and our meals were perfect, as was the service. This year the service was slow. I ordered prime rib, med rare, it came out very bloody. I like rare or med. rare meat, but this was more like raw. I sent it back, it came back cooked to rare, but the other food on my plate was cold. My son ordered the asian noodles, good, but a lot of undercooked veggies remained in his bowl.Bf had turkey medallions, good. The ceasar salad was good, crab cake appy good. Kilauea torts were perfect. I would not be in any hurry to return to Kona.
