I am obsessed with visiting DC and DCA but haven't seen any statistics on crowds at various times of the year. Are the patterns similar to Disney World? I have some time this Summer and was weighing out a DL vs. DW vacation? Any good advice? Thanks

Well with DCA we are basically winging it beacuse it's brand new. I think it depends on two park annuals or not. If they bring em back expect heavy crowds at both DCA and DL this summer. If they don't then I think it will be pretty light.

Hey thanks Swingevilmike. I have a better sense of what to expect ad DW in terms of weather and crowds. But, I'm really eager to get out to DL and DCA. I read some where that more families tavel for extended vacations to DW (kinda makes sense doesn't it?) and the crowds at DL are mostly from "CA locals". I'd like to be able to get on the rides and not wait an hour. Is there a "better" time to go to California? The weekends must be nuts! When should we know about the AP's?

Mid-week is always better in terms of crowds. Ideally, I would plan to stay a minimum of 3 days to really take advantage of both parks and the resorts. I sure hope they fix that child care situation!!!

I heard that we should be hearing about changes in the APs around September.
