MCO Airport Help - Disney Store location

I am not familiar with Orlando Int'l Airport and need help on directions from my gate to the Disney store so that I can buy APs. I checked American Airlines' website and my flight usually comes in through Gates 1-29. I'd like to get the APs while my wife is waiting for our luggage. Is the Disney store on the way to the luggage carousel or will I need to take a different route from the gate? Any help fom the MCO experts out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Get off the plane and get on the monorail to the main terminal (where you get the luggage). As soon as you get off the monorail, you'll walk through the security area, the Magic of Disney Store will be on your right. Please note--it is NOT a Disney Store, and they do not accept the same discounts as The Disney Store does.

Hold on, I understood that they did offer DC discounts on APs--or I would have purchased them last week with my hoppers at my local TDS. Now it's too late. Can anyone confirm?

They might accept DC for passes, but they don't for other discounts. That's what I was told by a CM there yesterday.

You are both correct. All Disney locations that sell admission media to WDW accept the DC card for your discounted passes. But since they are operated by the theme parks division and not the retail TDS division, there is NO DC discount on anything else in the store.

It may be easier to picture it like you would at the parks. You can get your DC passes right at the gate but can't get a DC discount on merchandise in the shops. Same thing at the airport.
