Split stay - PBH & HRH

Hi - here's our situation...HRH is "sold-out" for the 1st night of our 2 night stay. I'm able to get any room at PBH at a really good rate. The 2nd night of our stay I'm not able to get a good rate at PBH, but able to get a good rate at HRH. So, how much of a hassle would it be to stay 1 night at PBH and then switch over to HRH? Has anyone ever done this for such a short visit? I'd be saving over $150 by swithing hotels.

FYI, that second night is the start of a 7 night stay that we already paid for a timeshare that's closer to WDW. I want to be at UA for the Mardi Gras parade and don't want to check into the timeshare late at night. Any advise appreciated!:jester:

I switched hotels once, although I was staying a few days at each hotel. The only problem was that I had to transport my bags & car from hotel to hotel, which I thought was a bit of a drag (since it took time away from other activities),

I'd see if you could work out some deal where they'd move your bags over for you and you could get your car (if you'll have one) at your own convenience.

We recently split our stay Hard Rock first then onto Portofino. Call Star Services, they will pick up your luggage and transport it for you. We were even able to get our room early that morning. I'm sure it will all depend on how busy the hotels are during your stay.

Although you are only staying a night at each, I think its a great way to try out both! Plus you are saving big money:)

The only hassle I can forsee is you might not be able to get into your 2nd room on the 2nd day until 3-4pm. But if you're not fussy about which room you get and it's not a peak time you might get a room right away.
