My morning news just had a story that an announcement will be made today that Greg will be leaving The Wiggles. I know he has been sick for awhile. I just hope that he will be well soon.

I heard something on the news this morning too, but a little different. They said that tomorrow (the 30th) The Wiggles will be making a public announcement. They thought that it was going to be that one of The Wiggles was leaving the group, they didn't say which one. (Of course everyone will assume Greg since he has been sick.) I think it is speculation at the moment. I have tried searching the internet and haven't come across anything. So sad. I hope Greg is okay!!! We are huge Wiggles fans.

NO!!! Eric is sitting eating breakfast in his Greg outfit right now, this will break his little heart!

Has anyone heard what is wrong with him? I kept checking their message board but haven't in a few weeks.

Is it the 30th our time or Australia? They are almost a day ahead so I'm hoping it was Australia!

My DS2 loves the wiggle and even DD6 will still watch them. Hope Greg recovers. He is my kids favorite wiggle.

Greg is our favorite wiggle too! I hope he is able to get the rest he needs. "Quitting the group" makes it sound oh so very serious though- not a leave of absense but quitting. How can they be Wiggles anymore without Greg? very sad- and we just bought wiggledancing today too!

He has been absent for a little while. We saw them in Detroit in late August and Greg was there. We saw them in London, ON on Nov 1/06 and Greg was not there, Sam Moran took his place.

Did you happen to notice right before "Play your guitar with Murray" they showed a sign that said "Ryan is rockin' with Murray" with a picture of Murray? Well that was my son & husband. :cool1: We did love the show!! I hope Greg recovers too.

We were in Detroit, too! We were a few rows up, as far to the stage side as you could go (of course, I made sure it was the side Greg normally is on). Eric (dressed as Greg) was bound and determined he was going to get up on that stage to say Hi to Greg! We had all the empty seats to the side of us and then the aisle, he kept trying to rush the stage! A security guard came and stood at the end of our aisle because he almost made it a couple of times! :rolleyes1 Eric had such a good time, I will so miss taking him next year. I am sorry, we like Sam, but he just won't be the same. :sad2:

this is terribly sad news! I love the Wiggles, all of them - although Greg sings lead so much, it will be hard to imagine them without him :worried: i hope he feels better soon.

We were up on the opposite side and after Jeff came up into the crowd, my son said "I want Greg to come up here now". It was so cute!

We were at a show in Greensboro NC on Aug. 25, Greg was not there. Sam filled in, I missed Greg but thought that Sam did a really good job. DD is only 17 mo old so she really doesn't know the difference. It's very sad.

I'm going to look on the Community Board. "Nutsy" is from Australia and did a great job keeping us updated when Steve Irwin died. Maybe she'll have some info.

I remember seeing a number of signs. Were you at the 6:30 show? We were in the first row into the stands on the left hand side of the stage. Great seats! Didn't want the floor because I was unsure of what to expect. That was our first time at the JLC, but next time I would go for floor seats. :)

I had never heard of Sam - does anyone know where I can see a picture of him? I tried Google with no luck :confused3

Sam has been one of the Wiggly Dancers for several years. He is tall with dark hair and also play Professor Sing A Lotta Songa (sp? LOL!) in the new shows (not Capt. Feathersword in the old series). He has recently sung some songs on his own, like the Bacarolle (again not sure if I spelled it right!). He is either engaged or might be married by now to Lynn, one of the other Wiggly dancers. She is tiny with dark hair.

I think the Wiggles website has a list of all of the dancers.

We were at the afternoon show, so you wouldn't have seen our sign. We sat in same area as you only a little higher. It was our first time there too, I really liked that venue, but parking was a pain.

I am sad about Greg leaving. We saw Sam filling in for Greg when they came to WDW at the end of August and he did a great job. I really like Greg's voice though so it wasn't quite the same. I think I have a pic of Sam in the first day of my trip report if you click the link to it.

Sam will be replacing Greg Wiggle. Here is the news release with his illness condition (orthostatic intolerance).
