We are thinking about going to DL/DCA at the end of January. Does anyone know what the crowds are like? Also, is this value or Peak season for DL/DCA?

January? Slow season at DL/DCA. Same as WDW. Only 3 day weekends are really busy.

January is nice, but it's also the beginning of our rainy season, so good weather is truly a hit or miss adventure.

We were in LA/San Diego area January 2000. Two reasons - DH ran the S.D. Marathon. And I wanted to go on a whale watching cruise. (Did both :D)
We were also in S.D. the previous May.
Whether it's normal, or luck, the weather was slightly better in January, for us.
The only real difference we noticed was the flowers were much more plentiful in May.
So CA was going through a drought the January we were there.
Both visits, I wore my Spring jacket almost all the time while outside. Only one day on each visit did it actually get WARM.

Another problem is in January one of the Major Mountains go down for rehab usually Space Mountain or Matterhorn.
