My DH and I are going to visit my parents in Orange County before they sell their home and move to Indian where I now live. I grew up about 10 minutes from Disneyland but my DH has never been. I want to take him for a day at Disneyland but I am not sure what day to go. I know that weekends are always busier but do you think that Mother's day might be slow? I am hoping to go on a day when we can get there when it opens and get reservations for the Bayou restaurant. Has anyone been there on Mother's Day before?

We found Mothers Day to be a great time to go. Even though its a Sunday, it wasnt all that crowded. As the mothers enter the gate, there are CM's handing out carnation corsages for the moms, makes you feel special. I'm not sure now how the crowds will be though now that CA Adventure is open. Have a great time!

We went on Mother's Day last year...as it also happened to be my birthday...and it was not crowded early in the morning. Crowds did build a bit in the afternoon, but it was not unbearable. Enjoy! :)

Lol, we were there for Mother's Day last year, too, and had breakfast at the River Belle Terrace - it was a beautiful day, and a lot of fun. :)

LOL, we TOO were there Mother's day last year celebrating our anniversary. The morning was wonderful! We left during the afternoon for a couple hours to rest, and when we came back in the evening everything had calmed down again. Our longest wait was 20 minutes for Indy and we were able to get great Fantasmic spots just about an hour before the show. It was a wonderful day. Hope you have such luck and fun, too.
