Just checking in! I'm excited for this to start!

According to Tim, we need to pick a team leader. (team leaders will change each week for each challenge) That person will then get in touch with Tim or Ty and we'll be given a private area on the boards where we can communicate with each other. Once our room is "ready," we'll receive further info.

Tim estimates that the game will officially start around Nov. 30 or Dec. 1.

I'd love to hear what each of you put for your special talents. That'll help us on the challenges.

Mine are writing, puzzle solving, trivia, creativity and the fact that I do a real good impression of a camel. (which I'm sure will be invaluable to us in the game... :teeth: )

I can do SOME stuff on a computer, but I'm certainly no expert. Hopefully one of you is good at that!

Hi! I'm not exactly sure what strengths I'm bringing at this time. I'm sure I have something to offer. LOL!

I'm crafty, a decent photographer, and have a few computer skills. I'll be willing to take on a leader roll after Dec. 8, so maybe the next project. I have a big thing I'm working on for PTA right now, and dont feel I could do a good job on both at the same time.

Ok, so I have no idea what goes on in this game but im totally physched to play it with you all. As far as my talents go I'm really strong with creative expression and technology (graphic/web design) and I'm a great hunter/researcher and puzzle solver, my weakness is probably writing, much more of a visual person. Since I have no experience with the game and know little about what to expect I'm not sure how great a leader I can be at first but I will step up if you need me.

Hey everyone!

I was just over on the community boards (a great place for info/answered questions if you haven't gone there before). There's a thread called "Good morning DIS!..." that usually has Tim/Ty show up. Just click on the last page to get the latest.

Anyway, this morning Ty mentioned that we should all be sure to put each other on our Buddy Lists so that we can IM each other, too. I need to set up an AIM account, (haven't ever done that yet!) but I'll do that right away.

Has anyone heard from ScrapperKimmyD, kupiecb or Mom to a Princess?

By the way, I'm willing to be Team Leader for the first round if you want. I've got time in the next couple of weeks! :thumbsup2

I checked us in over on this thread, everyone. You should all visit it, though, so that it shows up in your subscriptions. It'll be where announcements, etc., will be made. As far as I understand, we'll also get our own room.

Hey guys!

I thought of something else. I've noticed that a lot of the teams already have customized siggies with the WPASADI logo and their team name on it. One team even has all the teammates names integrated into it. The Budget Team has a dollar bill logo. The non-US team has a cool avatar with the logo and their team name.

Does anyone have the ability to create something like that for all of us to use in our avatars or siggies? I would try, but it certainly wouldn't be a piece of cake for me--nor would it be all that professional looking! :blush:

Anyone want to have a go at it? Brian, you said you had computer and graphic design skills!

Also, does anyone have any great ideas about what could go on it that would make it unique for our team? This could be a great way to get us started on our teamwork! :cheer2:

I haven't tried yet to see if they work when plugged into the avatar space, but he could probably adjust it. He put our real names on them (those that he knew) but if you'd prefer, we could put screennames.

When we get our "room" we can post emails, AIM's and any other info that people might not be comfy sharing in a public forum. Keep checking back here a couple of times a day--I'll put any news here until our room is ready.

As you can see, I finally got the avatar to work. I had to switch over to Safari from AOL, which causes me so many problems on my Mac! I was going to switch services soon, but with this game going, I didn't want my email info lost in the shuffle!

Anyway, I LOVE your logo, too!! Choices, choices...

Is there any way we can have Mickey holding a LIST with all of our user names on it?

As the lone man on our team, you've already won all of our hearts.

Don't worry too much about the holding the list idea, if you don't have time. I think it looks great the way it is, too! Also, if you could incorporate cheerleaders or the word cheerleader into the graphic, some supporters might like that option. I've noticed other teams are gathering cheerleaders and making logos for them already!

I pm'ed Kimmy, Danelle, Maria and Kupiecb and told them to email you for their individual avatars before I saw your graphics website. Sorry, I hope that's okay. Maria said she might have to change her screenname, too, so be ready for that.
