I am planning a trip for May of 2007 and have contracted with Walker Mobility. Have you had any experience with scooters from them?

Renting from Walker has been a good experience. A few years ago my power wheelchair broke at a convention at WDW. I called Walker and they met me at my hotel within an hour with a scooter that I could use until I went home. Incredible service. I was able to enjoy my vacation after the convention at WDW.

Hi Goofysbest and :welcome: to disABILTIES!
I had rented for years from Walker prior to my moving down here, and when I moved they sold me an excellent used ECV at less than half of the new price (and that was over three years ago).
Also if you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. The fifth item down is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information, including where people rent ECVs and it shows Walker as one of the services many people here have used.

I can't say enough great things about Walker. I LOOOOVVVEEEE them  and would never consider renting from anywhere else. I've never had a bad experience with them, their customer service has always been above par and I've been renting from them for almost six years now. Why mess with a good thing?????

My mom has rented from them the last three times we've gone to WDW and has always had a good experience. The scooters have always been nice and have been waiting for us at luggage services fully charged.

Thanks to all who answered. I felt pretty sure that any company recommended by WDW would be good. I appreciate the help!!!
