Does anyone know, If you're being driven and dropped, can you pull right up to the gates or at least right up to where the busses drop? ? Do you follow the "bus" road instead of the parking road? or will they turn you away?

Bump.
I'd like to know, too.
I'm particularly interested in Animal Kingdom. Think I'll have some vouchers that have to be exchanged there. Would be reeaally nice if DH could drop me off at the gates and then either wait or circle around. Don't want to pay for parking just to exchange the vouchers. Would prefer to do the exchange first day we arrive, and probably won't go to parks that day.

Which park?
Basically cars are not allowed in the bus loading/unloading zones. At the MK, cars can't get closer than the TTC, unless you drop them at the COntemporary and they walk over from there.
At the AK, there is a drop off area towards the front, if the parking lot people will let you up there. Same with Epcot and MGM.

What vouchers? I can't really think of anything you would need to exchange theret hat you couldn't do at any guest services location.

The dropoff area for MK at the TTC is the only one that you can reach without paying a parking fee. So anyone can drop off there. For the other parks, the *official* policy is everyone pays the parking fee. This includes dropoffs. Having said that, however, exceptions are sometimes allowed. It comes down to the CM at the booth who is reaching for your money. If the CM believes your story and is willing to take the time to make a radio call to coordinate your passage past the CMs directing cars into parking rows, then you can go to the front of the lot and make your dropoff. There's no guarantee. And you will never be permitted to use the bus lanes.
