Hi,

I'm looking for opinions on transportation to MVMCP. We will have our own car this year and will be traveling with an 18 mo-old and staying at POR. Would it be easier sticking with the buses or use our own car? It's been so long since I've actually driven into MK that I can't remember exactly how it works. I think we would have to park and still catch a monorail to get in, where the buses would take us directly to the gate? This sounds like more of a hassle to drive ourselves, but since we have the youngster and our stroller, buses could be a problem as well. Also, since people seem to leave the party at various times I'm guessing it's not too bad catching a bus on the way back? Thanks - we leave in 3 days!

You are correct in that once you park at the Magic Kingdom, you are still a long way from the park. You will ride a parking lot tram to the TTC, and then ride either the ferry or monorail over to MK. The bus ride from POR will be non-stop and will drop you at the MK turnstiles.

Traveling with strollers is always a bit of a hassle. You will have to fold up the stroller before boarding a bus. But it also has to be folded on the parking lot tram.

For me, when I am exiting the park I am tired and don't need the extra hassle of a monorail trip and tram ride to get to my car. I'd rather catch a bus right at the park exit.

Thank you for the suggestion - I'm thinking the bus sounds like the best way to go.

Try and time your exit for an odd time, in other words wait 30-45 minutes AFTER the fireworks so you miss the mass exodus.
