Hi all,

this is a slightly OT question. My DH is a historian who specializes in the British military and we will be going to London for a month in July 2007. We'll fly from Boston. the prices seem so high right now -- like $800 per ticket -- and we need 4 for our family. My question is: how far in advance should we be looking? when do you all buy your Orlando flights?

Thank you very very for any advice you can share.

I find with scheduled flights the tickets are 'banded' in price with the cheapest available as soon as they go on sale which is about 330 days before the flight. Once each band has sold it moves up to the next higher priced band. Although sometimes airlines do special offers but these are spur of the moment and it is not guarenteed that the dates you want will be in an offer.
To be honest $800 seems quite a good price to me including all taxes etc, as a fare the opposite way is working out at about $1100 with Virgin Atlantic for example.

Claire ;)
