GOOD MORNING BLUE!

not much time for chatter yet, i apologize -- busy day of appt and errands, plus packing to do before leaving for thanksgiving.

I just WI and i'm down another pound! YIPPEE!!!

please POST OR PM YOUR WEIGH IN RESULTS TODAY! put that task behind you before celebrating the holiday, well i guess not debbie

i won't be back on until Friday most likely -- i may have time tomorrow morning but it won't be high priority on a day with my family :thumbsup2

i shared with the purple team an email i got at work reminding us that:
reminded us that the approaching holidays are just that -- holiday, not a holiweek, or a holimonth

that said -- hang tough girls. pick and choose what you are going to eat and then eat HALF of the portion size you wouldv'e eaten last year. if with all that you are still truly hungry, i'll bet there will be enough for seconds!! don't be timid to just put a dabble on your plate to try and that's enough. after the first couple of bites, that "WOW this is GREAT!" sensation is gone anyhow

off to be ready! hugs to each and every one of you -- BLUE TEAM :rockband:

Just a quick check in before off to work.
I lost 1 pound (on Saturday, and nothing since) I'm happy for that considering TOM. And I've really not had any plateaus yet, so I'll be grateful for it.
I now have a totoal of 23 pounds lost since starting this challenge!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Blue Teamers!!!

I am really excited that I lost some weight after all the weight I have gained the first part of the month. I am weighing in at 170. I have been sticking to my workouts and sticking to my daily points range and eating my Activity points-I really think that is key to weight loss!

For Thanksgiving my mom has me making the green bean casserole and sweet potatoes. I am making them the same way I always do EXCEPT with low-fat or fat-free ingredients. Hopefully, no one will notice. I have vowed no seconds on ANYTHING and I can have a small piece of pumpkin pie.

I hope that everyone here has a great holiday and a great weekend! :grouphug:

Happy Thanksiving everyone,

I'm working from home today, so I'm very thankful!!

I weighed in at 144.4 this morning. I lost 1.6 (1.2 if you take into consideration the .4 I gained last week). It's so great to see the scale going DOWN, DOWN, DOWN!

For Thanksgiving for me I am making a crustless pumpkin pie (of course DH is still making regular ones), I'm going to make homemade cranberry relish, turkey of course, simple mashed sweet potatoes -no butter(DH and kids are having mashed potatoes), whole wheat stuffing with cranberries and walnuts -not using any butter, and brussel sprouts (recipe from rachel ray, adapted to be low fat) made with onions, chicken stock and balsamic vinegar.

I can't wait till Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Hi all,
I just put the ingredients for my crustless pumpkin pie (just using the recipe for 1 pie off the Libby's 100% pumpkin can without the crust and 1/4 less sugar than called for). It's only 2 WW points per slice (1/8 of pie). It has 120 calories, 1.2 g fat - Not too bad at all.

By the way, for those who don't use Sparkpeople, the recipe builder is reason alone to check out the site. Really easy to figure out how many points, calories etc. in a serving of a recipe.

 Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! Take time to rest, relax, and enjoy yourselves and your families!

I am even steven today, so I guess that that is better than being up. I have a late school night tomorrow with the Christmas bazaar, so I'll take an extra apple or something for before I work it. Friday is a Professional Development day-lots of meetings. We sometimes go out for lunch, so I'll have to plan for that.

Good work for the past week, take the holiDAY, and be ready for the next. Is anyone going shopping on Friday? That will take care of some of those added calories! :thumbsup2

Talk soon!

Hey Blue Team!

Forgot to WISH you all a HAPPY TURKEY DAY earlier.

Melanie- your stats for the crustless pumpkin pie almost has me re-thinking my SF pumpkin cheesecake, but I made a vow yesterday to avoid the grocery store today so I'll have to stick with my original plan!

Daisy You go girl, you show everyone how the "classics" can be lightened up, and still be tasty!! Have a great visit w/ your family!

Debbie- Too bad you have to work on our holiday!! As for the shopping; I'm hoping to "catch" a couple of good deals online. Since I don't have that big of a list for this year, It's not worth it to get up at O' dark thirty.

GO BLUE TEAM!!!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I'm only down .5 this week. I know it's a loss and I just got over TOM, but I'm still bummed about it. I felt like it should be more. I know that I'm not drinking enough water, though, so maybe that's part of it.
DH has to work tomorrow, so I'm depressed about that. He's a chef, so he always has to work on holidays. But the kids and I will be going to my Dad's house, so it should be nice.

OhMom- Congrats on the pound! I think the half-portion idea is great. There are so many different things to try on Thanksgiving, so it's key to keep those portions small! popcorn::

AlaskaMom- 23 lbs! Wow~ that's awesome! :cheer2:

Daisy- I bet that nobody even notices the difference in those dishes~ I'm sure they will still be amazing! ;)

Melanie- that crustless pumpkin pie sounds great~ tasty without the guilt! :)

Debbie- good job maintaining :) As for shopping.. I hope to be able to go out with DH on friday morning; I'd love to catch some great deals on toys for the kiddos. It sounds like you're doing a great job planning ahead your snacks & meals! :thumbsup2

Happy Thanksgiving

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/reanst/EnclosurePictureViewerdocument.jpg

May your stuffing be tasty. May your turkey be plump.

May your potatoes ' n gravy have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious. May your pies take the prize.

May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs.

MAY YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED THANKSGIVING!

So I'm down another .8 pounds this week. Anything is better than nothing as I have been eating everything in sight and not working out much.

Can we do an excercise challenge? I really need to get back into the habit of working out about 5 days a week at least 45 minutes at a time, instead of my crappy reccent lack of lots of excercise or 10 minute workouts. I have been busy and it got pushed to the backburner and I really need to work out more.

Good morning everyone!

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: Happy Thanksgiving!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Sorry I haven't posted since Saturday. I haven't been doing so well. I know I should be here for the encouragement, but the guilt is bothering me. I haven't done any "purposeful exercise" in the past few days, and my eating has been out of control. :sad2:

Anyways, my family hates it when I try to make lower calorie, lower fat stuff. Well, except once I made a pie with sugar-free Jello and Cool Whip Free. It was a little runny, but all my younger cousins devoured it! So anyways, today I am making the veggies. I have Green Bean Casserole and a Sweet Potato, Onion, and Apple Gratin recipie that a parent at work gave me. Neither of these are low-cal or low-fat! And I LOVE my grandma's sage stuffing! Yum, yum.

So today I'll spend a while on the Gazelle, and if the weather clears up tomorrow, I'll go for a long bike ride. I finally got a new back wheel since someone stole it a few months ago. Cost me $130 to replace!!! :scared1: :furious:

Congrats everyone on the great weight loss!!! :cheer2: I haven't done an official weigh-in yet, because my scale is acting crazy. I can move it 2 inches and it gives me a different reading that can vary 5 pounds! So I do my official weigh-ins on the drug store scale. So I will have to do my WI on Friday. Sorry girls. :confused3

And I forgot who asked about the Kashi bars, but here is the info:
Serving size: 2 bars (they come 2 to a pack for the crunchy ones)
Calories 180
Total fat 6g
...Sat fat 0.5
...Trans fat 0
Sodium 150mg
Total Carbs 26g
...fiber 4g
Sugars 7g
Protein 6g

I eat a certain amount of startches a day, and these bars come out to 2 startches, or 1 if I only eat one bar and save the other for later.

Okay, so everyone have a GREAT day, and I'll check in tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Amber - Hang in there. This is one day out of your life. Learn to do things in moderation. Get back on track tomorrow or even tonight. Learning to let yourself indulge once in a while is the key. It's a lifestyle and a journey. There is no DESTINATION. You must learn to fit in your grandma's stuffing into your new lifestyle. I read a really great article this morning on Sparkpeople. I'm going to go find the link. It might help you. Hang in there and don't beat yourself up.

By the way everyone, my crustless pumkin pie is SO GOOD. I just omited the crust and 1/4 cup sugar from the 1 pie recipe. I also used the FF evaporated milk. Everything else is exactly the same. I think I could even go less on the sugar next time. It's pretty sweet. I haven't been eating much sugar lately, not even in cereal (my current cereal has 0 grams sugar).

ReAnSt- A exercise challenge sounds great to me too! I've been lifting 1 -3 times a week, but I need serious help with my cardio. I know it's good for me, but I too am having a hard time finding time for myself.

Ok - Where is everyone. I hope everyone had a nice Holiday yesterday. I did really good. A few points over, but nothing I didn't have flex points for. This morning I had two slices (total of 4 points) of crustless pumpkin pie for breakfast. I think I'm going to have to make this more often than just the holidays. For lunch I had a turkey quesadilla.

I slept in till 10:30am and was still able to get over to Kohls to grab a few Christmas presents at their early bird sale. Only one thing I wanted wasn't there. I didn't go to bed until 2pm. I don't know how come I had so much energy. Probably because I worked from home in my jammies on Wednesday and stayed home the entire day yesterday.

Have a great day today. We are going to see Deck the Halls a bit later. I may air pop my pop corn instead of eating theirs without butter. Its still healthier.

Thanks for the link Melanie! :thumbsup2

Yesterday I felt so sick. I don't know what was up, but I pretty much spent the day eating toast, yogurt, and Mylanta! LOL Went to in-law's house and had a ham biscuit, a forkful of potato salad, and a tiny slice of pecan tart. I went home, had some more Mylanta, and went to bed at 7:30.

So I'm trying to take it easy today. I have a speech to write for my Tuesday class, so I need to get hopping on that, but I've spent the morning so far reading and watching cartoons. I'm hoping to actually go out and buy DH's b-day present before he gets home from work. His b-day is next Friday. Plus I need to wrap up some Christmas shopping. There is a great craft show down the street from me this weekend. I thought about riding my bike down there since parking is always horrible, but what if I buy something huge and can't take it home on my bike? Hmmm....

So anyways, I'll be getting back to you girls later! Have a great Saturday!!! :cool1:

GOOD AFTERNOON BLUE! :cheer2: :cheer2:

ok -- this is Molli here (ohMom) too lazy to sign out on mom's computer and re-sign back in

i'm definately GAME for an exercise challenge -- i only worked out TWICE this week! eek!!! must get up and walk before church tomorrow -- should be ok we got to an 11 a.m. service

we had a fantastic holiday -- my family came here Wed night and my Dad had made a pasta dinner, whole grain garlic bread. let's see Thursday I had two thanksgiving dinners to attend -- i did practice the small portions and walked away from the table thinking "i could have more ....."you fill in the blanks, i could've with several options. i did have desserts though, slivers to taste. dessert is my downfall. I made a pumpkin cheesecake that was outta this world, but not a healthy option so just a sliver. I got two recipes from work and made a lower fat version pecan (with oatmeal) pie and pumpkin pie. both were good i thought. my pumpkin pie was made with splenda. the pecan pie with splenda baking blend.

friday a.m. we were crazy people and got up at 4 a.m. to hit some sales. well, Best Buy was totally insane so i didn't get the item there driving me to get up that early. we did get some great deals on some other things -- but my biorhythms did not appreciate eating like pooh, wine, and then getting up in the middle of the night! yesterday was my dad's birthday so we had a nice steak and shrimp dinner, baked sweet potatoes, etc. today i'm trying real hard to get back on track; then DH and i got a late invitation to go to dinner and a show - A Christmas Carol - in Columbus on the business expense. well, yeah -- we're there. so another tempting dinner -- i will think of everyone here and make goood choices!!

hey i forgot to mention -- thanksgiving morning Mom and I did the turkey trot which is a 5 mile walk maintaining 15 min/miles. great fun :cool1:

i'm focusing on water and working out tomorrow --- then back on sparkpeople too. my holiday went a couple days! eek! i'll eat those words too -- but truly being here in on this team has helped me stop where last year i would've just continued. that in itself is a success i think!

CONGRATS to everyone who has lost this week! you :rockband:!! i'll be back home tomorrow ------- thinking of the BLUE team!! molli

Good morning everyone,
I hope everyone is doing well. Scale is staying the same this week. Almost stationary at 144.2/144.4. This is good with all the extra stuff I've been eating. I've been within my points, but I only have 7 flex points for the weekend. We are going to the mall today. I'm sure we will end up eating somewhere tonight. If I'm lucky maybe it will be sushi and I can handle that on my points. Breakfast and lunch were OP, so I'll take it one hour at a time today and be good. I'll bring some nuts with me in case I get too hungry. This will keep me from overeating when dinner comes.

TOM is due today, and I'm feeling bloated. I have however been able to drink 8 glasses of water the past two days so I feel good about that.

By the way, I was so good at the movies. I brought water and hot air popcorn with me. Only 2.5 points!

Debbie

Yeaah, Blue Team! We keep each other going, no matter what the cause!

Becky and emh, you lost! :cheer2: Weigh to go! I have a hate relationship with my fickle scale these days....same +1.0 -1.5 +2 -.5 same . . . . (I hate that thing!)

Amber, I am so sorry to hear that you were not feeling well, yesterday. Hopefully, today will be better. And, since the craft show is close to home, you could ride your bike, and if you DO buy something, have them hold it while you go and get your car.

Mel, congrats on your 2.5 point night out. Popcorn is one of my favourite snacks! popcorn::

Molli and Bev, WEIGH to go on the Turkey Trot! Maintaining that 15 minute mile is something to celebrate! party:

Molli, I'd love the pumpkin cheesecake recipe and Melanie, I'd love the crustless pumpkin pie recipe-it sounds like I could make it as a parfait-for my pumpkin nut DD.

And, yes, the fact that we do stop and think before we make our choices is a real benefit of the Team.

Yesterday's pot luck lunch had me choosing the salad, a taste of the cabbage roll casserole, and some chicken/cheese soup. I had a sliver of pie, and a one other dessert, leaving everything else behind. Was I perfect? NOPE. Was I pleased with how I did? You BETCHA!

This team ROCKS! Thank you for letting me be a part of it! :goodvibes

Oh Debbie I think you've summed up what it is I'm hoping to be able to sustain for- e-v-e-r! Thanks giving was good here, the food all looked and tasted so good. I did stop myself with just enough to feel satisfied, even though I did want more. What a country we live in to be conditioned to fee absolutely STUFFED on holiday meals! I did splurge and have leftovers for b'fast on Friday morning, but all normal portions!!! So all in all "I wasn't perfect, but I'm pleased with how I handled the day (s).
It soundS like the Blue team did great conquering Thanksgiving. Now it's time to work on ouR strategies for handling the Christmas holidays (and yes Molli, I think Christmas is WAY MORE than ONE day!)
How do you approach a party, the lunch set out at work, the goodie tray given by the neighbors, the family wanting their favorite treats; and for me a 10 day Disney vacation, with out too much backsliding?????

Exercise challenge sound good to me, I still need to finish up my NOV exercise challenge, so it'll work out as double motivation!!!! :yay:

GREAT JOB BLUE TEAM!!! WE ROCK :cheer2:

MORNING - it's the "real" me this time :teeth: Molli and family left yesterday afternoon and I have just emailed her with all the list of items we have found so far that were left behind ;)

I am DEFINATELY back OP today - I feel like a BIG BETTY BLIMP! No scale stepping for me for a couple of days - guess that says it all - can you tell that I didn't read all that great info on how to only eat half-portions etc. My H20 on the counter and that is a major goal today to empty that pitcher.

I am so proud of you guys making good choices! I do know that the amount of eating and just a bit of wine (truly no overindulging there but still "empty" calories) really made me feel sluggish. More importantly, I know that since I had some sugar - I wanted more....................... so it's back to cutting that out too.

Molli's quote the approaching holidays are just that -- holiday, not a holiweek, or a holimonth
reminded me that our office has already started receiving goodies - chocolates from Harry and David - right on the counter in front of me - I "passed" (knowing that if I started to munch - I would then just keep munching) but one gal commented that Thanksgiving was the beginning of the holiday meal and it wouldn't be ending until January! I really pondered her words - and I am glad that she said it and Molli shared her words of wisdom - because there is NO WAY that I can have that attitude! And, you know, I really don't want to even !

Nope - I'll take my Blue Teammies and have them help me through the season!!! Thanks guys

AlaskaMOM - I signed up for the audience - has there been a list of "chosen" for that - I have to go read and play catch-up - haven't been on the CB in some time - glad you have a thread and you and MelC are playing!

Sending :wizard: :wizard: to all and especially those who are not feeling chipper and/or injured

Have a great day everyone.

good afternoon gals :teeth:

must make this quick, we have so much to do and DH is gung-ho so i must take advantage of this! outdoor chores with a beautiful day.....

dinner last night was a fantastic seafood meal, i choose ciappioni (sp?) it didn't seem very greasy, more tomato brothy which was great. large chuncks of seafood which were yum-o! we did have dessert though, i had a key lime tart which was again good, i didn't finish the crust but by then what the heck! today i'm back totally OP -- journaling and such. i woke up this morning knowing I should've walked but felt sooo not like it! i even remarked to DH that this what non-exercising, eat-like-crap, all the time folks must feel like everyday and I wouldn't want that everyday! it's almost motivating for me to return to my healthy lifestyle! too feel good when i wake up!

jill -- i agree that the holiday season isn't truly just 2 days and it's definately hard -- but the email tidbit for me has me aware and earlier to refocus after thanksgiving i think. we have several holiday gatherings that will make it challenging as i'm sure everyone else does!

being in a maintain your weight challenge at work and my FC is helping me too. i did step on the scale today and expected to see a higher fluxuation and only was up 1 to maybe 1.5 lbs from last week. so this is good. a good solid week on track should get me back to the losing range.

PD and virtual motivation and inspiration to us all!!

Hi everyone,
I just cannot tell you how beautiful it is outside. DH and DS9 are outside putting ornaments on the house. DD14 and I are cooking dinner. I just put two pots of soup on. I have a homemade noodle turkey soup and Morocan Spice Chickpea Soup. I've decided I don't want the white flour and dark meat chicken that is in the turkey soup. So my soup is a healthy vegetarian soup - YUMMY!

Last night after shopping we went to Panera's. I didn't have my Palm Pilot with me, so I had to just be as good as I could. I think I did great. I did get the French onion soup, but a bowl was only 4.5 points. I know know that it's only 1.5 points if you forgo the cheese and croutons!! I also got a half a panini that was only 10 points for the half and my side was the whole wheat bread for 2.5 points. Next time I will forgo the cheese and croutons and just break up the whole wheat bread and put in the soup. It's so yummy that way and I will save 3 points total on the meal. After I ordered my sandwich, I saw a picture of their new sandwich and I wished I would have ordred that instead. It looks so good. I'm going to have to go update my restaurants in my Palm because I don't have that sandwich listed.

Hey - I would love all of you guys to be Cheerleader for the Adventures, Disabilites & WISH WPASADI Challenge. I started a thread here on WISH on where you can sign up to be one of our Cheerleaders. Come support me and Jill (AlaskaMom) and our other team members and give the WISH board team some support!!

"Adventures, Disabilites & WISH WPASADI Challenge." ??? What is this?

Anyways, HI everyone! I am feeling much better! I was just sick on Friday and I think it was the food from Thanksgiving! LOL I guess my body is just used to the healthier foods! :thumbsup2

I decided not to go to the craft show and went to Planet Music and Bed, Bath, and Beyond to do some shopping instead. I ended up getting the U2 18 Singles CD that just came out, and I got one of DH's b-day presents, the original Canadian cast of Phantom of the Opera sountrack. We love it! Colm Wilkinson rocks!!! So now I just need to find a nice watch big enough for his wrist. I think I might be able to find one at the men's big and tall store, I hope.

Guess what? I also got my Disney Parks DVD in the mail yesterday! I was so excited. We watched almost the whole thing last night. I cried when I saw the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights. When we were there last Nov/Dec, we went to go see it after Fantasmic and a CM told us to basically go away, that the park was closing. So I asked to take a few pictures from there and he let me, but I didn't get to see them all. I was so sad. I'd really like to take 2 short trips down next year for MNSSHP and for MVMCP. Just like weekend trips, or something.

Anyways, I gotta get to the store to get some more feminine products :guilty: and something to make for dinner before church tonight.

Have a great Sunday night, everyone!

We just realized Friday that we hadn't made our hotel ressies so we are official with deposit made now!!

I have had a pretty good day. :thumbsup2 Lots of water/green tea, veggies and fruit in, and tonight, for the first time, I substituted brown rice for the white. I tasted good with the fish fillet that we had.

I hope everyone is having a good day! Did you realize that in LESS than one month, Christmas will be over? :teeth:

oh wow -- less than a month! i was thinking as we decorated the outside of our house today, how we go to so much effort for one month of the year -- now i'm NOT a bah-humbug; quite the opposite, i whistle christmas tunes all year. i just wish i could decorate and shop earlier, i hate the rushed feeling part of the season. ok, i could shop earlier, and i do some; but not much. i have started though ----

anyhow -- i made it through today good too, off to sparkpeople to finalize my day and see on paper how i did :) tomorrow i'll journal during the day and not at the end! LOL

tomorrow is an early a.m. walk for me -- anyone joining me??

Okay - once again it's Monday and I did step on the scales to see a number up 2 lbs. We had dinner last night at Panera and I wasn't near as good as MelC when she went there.

My goal for today it is to get TOTALLY back on track and see if I can get these 2 off before the Wed WI.

As for the early morning walk here I go...........................

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Amber,
Here is the explanation for WPASADI-

explanation for WPASADI (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wpasadi.htm)

How exciting that you got your video. Maybe mine will come in soon. We have to start nailing down our plans for July. I just realized that 1/13/07 will be my 180 day mark to make ADR's and La Nouba ressies!! Woo Hoo! We just realized Friday that we hadn't made our hotel ressies so we are official with deposit made now!!

Thanks for the explination! :thumbsup2 I get it now. :teeth:

So you are going about 6 months after I do. I leave 1/19/07. 53 more days!!! Dare I share with you where my ADR's are??? LOL :rotfl: We have the Premium Plan, so we booked alot of table service restaurants. We like to have the time to sit and talk about our plans for the day, and to break up our days, since we pretty much spend all day in the parks.

So that made me think.... who here has a trip planned and when it is?

Just a very quick check in before off to work. I stepped on the scale this AM and was down 1 pound!!! I don't know if it's gonna stick, but I sure liked seeing it. I did do lots of exercise over the weekend (4 day) to appease my little splurges.
I really want to respond to each of you, but I really need to go.
Have a great Monday, see you later this afternoon!

PS I hope there's no typos

Hi everyone,

Well I just said yes to someone that I would go to a work Holiday cocktail party for one of the franchises I work on from 4pm-6pm on 12/6. What was I thinking. No problem staying away from the alchohol, but there are going to be some VERY tasty appetizers there. I picked the appetizers to be served, so of course they are going to be GREAT!! This is such a tough time to be good. I have two events this weekend, my Nephew/Godson's birthday party (I plan to take a dish or two so I have something to eat). I am also going shopping at the Outlet Malls in Lancaster PA with a friend on Sunday. I'll be gone for lunch and dinner. I have no idea what I'll do, but hopefully I can use my flex points (that means I must be good and not use any all week). Most places I can find stuff to eat, but I'm not familiar with the area at all.

Our next trip to Disney is July 13-July 29th. I'm really excited about this trip because it's the first one that I will actually be there for my birthday. Two years ago, we arrived 2 days afterwards. This year I will actually be there on my birthday. Can you get any better than that!!!

Amber - We do a lot of table service's too. Especially in the summer, its nice to have the break out of the heat. Mostly we do 2 sit down's a day for lunch and dinner. At Animal Kingdom we do Fast Food, but they do have sit down inside anyway.

Molli- I so know what you mean about the rush for the Holidays. We don't even have time to get a tree as a family. Our weekends are completely booked and heaven forbid that DH misses a Dallas game to go get one. Looks like the kids and him will have to go get it Sunday, unless we have time before driving to his sister's house on Saturday for the birthday party. They live at least 1 1/2 hours away so not sure we will have time. I get so stressed out this time of year because I feel so rushed and there is too much to do.

Jill - Great job.
My scale was up a tad this morning, but TOM is almost here (actually it's late) and I've been feeling yucky and bloated for two days now.

By the way everyone, DH and kids are coming to take me to lunch today. Luckily I've already filled out my Palm with my points and Sparkpeople with my calories and I"m on track. We are eating at Panara again. There was a new sandwich that looked so good. The only bad thing is the salt. It will probably show at the scale. I'm skipping the croutons and cheese on the French onion soup and just going with the whole wheat bread to put in the soup. That saves me a few points.

Keep up the great work everyone. We really are all doing terrific. Even when we eat things that are higher in calories and points we are making better decisions and also stopping sooner than we would have if we weren't accountable to this thread and each other.

Hey everyone,
The day is going well. At Panera's today I was caught totally offgaurd with a new soup at Panera's. I again had no idea how many calories it was so I figured it couldn't be any worse than the French onion soup I had the other day. It turned out to not be too bad! It was a Butternut squash soup and it was so DELICOUS!! The new sandwich I wanted to try was so so. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about.

I hope everyone had a happy healthy OP day. I really enjoy our group here. Having you guys to make me accountable is really helping. I say that after we get done with this challenge we make some types of "teams" - not a contest, but teams for loosing weight. Sort of like accountable threads that we feel at home in where we can really support each other. This group has really kept me accountable and I've lost about 10 pounds since we started. That is not anything to sneeze about. It really makes me feel happy!! Thanks everyone!

Melanie- Oh my gosh you sure are a busy lady. I see you everywhere! and you had time to have lunch out! I am so with you on the squash. I love it Alas no one else in my family like it :sad2:
As for your holiday cocktail party with all the delish appetizers, maybe you should make sure you have dinner (a good one) first and allow yourself a couple of tasty treats!

Amber I'm glad you're feeling better.

Good job blue team we rock!!!!

Now that turkey day is over and the Christmas goodie parade is about to start DO NOT LET YOUR GUARD DOWN!

good morning all -- i think we are missing a few :) i think we should PM them!!

i'm off to the FC this morning for a weight workout -- i also did a sneak WI today and was down a pound! i was like yes!!! this will help me stay totally on track today. shouldn't be too hard, i'll be home and lots to do. actually this whole week should be easier to not focus on food with a to-do list a mile long!

i was successful shopping yesterday but so tired! i did stick with my mon night walk with my neighbor though -- it's very casual and slower than my exercise pace but still moving. i needed it after listening to my girls chatter non-stop for 2 1/2 hours. they were excited, we went to the mall :)

Melanie -- how the the butternut squash soup calorie wise? sounds yummy! when i lost weight the first time that would be my treat when i'd run into Cols and shop -- a lunch at panera bread -- french onion soup and house latte. Trader Joes has a good low-point butternut squash soup in a box. actually, so does Campbells. Animator's Palate makes a good one too :teeth:. did i spell Palate right? is that even the right word? you know -- AP on DCL -- so much easier

anyhow -- everyone, seriously -- PM a lost buddy on the team!

Good afternoon, chicas! :cool1:

Just a quick hello since I have class tonight and I have a 10 minute speech to deliver that I haven't written my outline for, yet. It's all pretty much in my head, but I'm disappointed that I never got to the PowerPoint. Oh well. It's not required.

I have been so-so OP. Breakfast always trips me up, but then I've been pretty good the rest of the day. I'll have a Lean Cuisine and steamed cauliflower for dinner before I leave for school tonight. Then when I get home I will have one square of Dove dark chocolate. It's my "keep-me-from-bingeing treat". LOL!

Anyways, looks like everyone is doing great on the exercise! Especially Molli! You go, GIRL!!! I plan on getting back to my BL DVD tomorrow, and hopefully doing a little Gazelle-ing in the mornings. To do that, though, I'll have to get up at 5am, as opposed to 5:45!

Have a great Tuesday everyone! :wave2:

I'm here! I have been doing not too badly this week in the food department. (But the true test will be tomorrow, right?)

My plan after a light supper....wrapping. I wonder how many calories an hour you burn when you are doing that??

Keep up the good work-one step at a time!

Sorry I haven't posted reccently I'm still around, I've been reading, just no time for posting. Although now I should have more time as all my assignments are finished for my two grad classes. :woohoo: :woohoo: My group project partner is printing and binding the 70 page paper we did and mailing it to the instructor. Just some discussion boards to participate in and they don't open till next week, so now I have more time and no classwork till January. Woo Hoo so now I have time to excercise more. :cheer2: :cheer2: I have so missed having the time to excercise, who would have thought I'd be saying that. I was still moving but not like I was before.

Let's go Blue team, we can do this all the way to the end, don't give up just because the holiday goodies surround you. Keep moving and eating healthy, however don't forget a little bit of those holiday goodies is not the end of the world. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

2 things from me :teeth:
I had HUGE Panera cookies sitting on my counter today (a big platter of 'em) and I looked the other way and didn't even allow myself to think that they would taste good - I just imagined all the butter and sugar in them!

and, secondly, I am here to report that I am done eating for the evening. I "could be hungry" and get into the "I did so well today" BUT I am not going to. I have a hot steamy cup of tea and jammies on that I just warmed in the dyer :teeth: and now I wanted to state my no more eating intentions and be on my way!

It's going to rain in OH soon - my personal body forecaster is telling me that - not sure what the weatherman is saying. Didn't sleep too well last night and skipped working out today so it will be up and at 'em in the morning!

Have a good evening everyone - GO BLUE :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi everyone! Everyone is doing so great - Our Blue team really rocks!

Molli - The butternut squash was around 200 something. The fat was a tad high, but the points ended up being 4.5 (higher than I wanted, but its a new week so I have the points). You can find the exact nutritional info on the panera web site.

My Weight Watcher WI tonight was exactly the same as last week. I guess not too bad with Thanksgiving and all the eating out I've done and the fact that TOM came today. Not sure what to expect tomorrow. I'll be happy to stay the same since I feel so bloated and yucky right now.

Night everyone!
