I originally looked into this seriously in Sept. at that time my guide said that I would get 2001 points if I bought before the end of the year. Would you know that if I don't use MB can I bank all of the points to be used in 2002? Thanks

Also is there a limit to the number of rooms that can be reserved. I finally pushed my DH over the edge when I told him how if we bought DVC we would be able to "pay" for his family to go down next Thanksgiving. So instead of using 440 pts at GF concierge he thought it would be great to buy and pay for everyone. I know it will use up a lot of our points in the beginning but I'll have 37 more years to enyoy it. I also am considering a BCV add on when the become available. Thanks

yes, you can bank all of your 2001 into 2002. We did that our first year too so we could get a GV for an extended family of 12 people. We were the only WDW regulars, all the rest were newbies and it was GREAT FUN! They were very greatful and we felt good doing it!

If you were to buy now you would get 2001 points and a use year beginning likely in June, meaning the initial allotment of points would be good from June 1, 2001 to May 31, 2002. As part of the sale you can bank those points (they give you a form with the other papers that you fill out) in which case they would be good for a trip between June 1, 2002 and May 31, 2003. You would get another allotment of points June 1, 2002. There is no limit on number of rooms you can reserve.

be careful that your use year starts late enough in 2001 to allow 100% banking (no more than 6 months ago)...
