This year we decided to make a good start on sorting out gifts etc for Christmas. We have organised DS's gifts some of which are still to be delivered, we saved our Nectar points all year and used them for DMIL's freeview box, I still need a few items which hopefully I will get tomorrow
after I take DS to school. I'm off work for a week so I will wrap everything and write out the cards etc..
We also bought a Calico Cottage Fudge making kit from QVC and this morning DS and I made our first batch (caramel) and now our house smells like Disney :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 We'll make the fudge and give it as stocking fillers to everyone a kind of personal touch from us :thumbsup2
Once our DS's had his birthday I can put up the decorations for Christmas
Are any more Disers this organised this year or may be more so??

Patiently waiting now to put the trees up :thumbsup2

I am doing well
Just done my Christmas cards for the international exchange, and just finishing off my uk dis ones, plus I have bought stamps for them.
I have wrapped half the presents, and have only a couple to buy.
Being our first Christmas in our own home, I have bought all new decorations plus a tree, got alot of beautiful Christmas decorations in wdw.
So I am doing well, plus the Christmas cake is in the oven

Oh dear......the more I read, the more I panic
I haven't bought a single, solitary, Christmas present yet :confused3
It's DD's 8th birthday on the 8th and I can never seem to be able to get my head around Christmas until afterwards!
I still say I'm missing the 'shopping gene', as is DD (22) ;)
We went to Meadowhall last week, walked round for an hour and bought nothing (even though it was the Debenhams discount event) but a chippy butty on the way home as a means of recuperation......... :rotfl:

My mother is doing as well as normal years. She is normally done now, and she still has to get things done. I think me doing my list late may have delayed her a bit..
There are probably others who have done. Thank you internet shopping! :rotfl:

I bought a Calico Cottage kit recently and I'm intending to do the same - have opened the box but not got stuck in yet! Maybe I'll give it a go this afternoon - want to try adding a drop of Baileys to a batch... :thumbsup2
I'm totally on top of the Christmas thing! I have finished shopping for everyone - just want to get some special extra bits and pieces for DH as he's such a sweetie. :lovestruc Just got the wrapping to do which I've planned for the weekend of December 2nd/3rd. That's when we're putting the trees up too so for me it'll be the start of Christmas proper... :santa: :cloud9: :santa:

Am going to put my tree up next weekend I think. It's so cold outside at the moment it really does feel christmassy :goodvibes I havent written my cards yet but am going to do so on my next week-day off which is in two weeks, will play christmas songs and look at my twinkling tree while i'm at it :goodvibes

I've got most of dd presents, just got to get her a Lazytown cd and Little Mermaid DVD.
Then I have to get my mum, dad, brother, sister and DBF presents.
I don't send out christmas cards so don't have to worry about that.
we are hoping to put the tree up soon as dd is getting excited. might put it up next week.
she wrote her letter to Santa last night and luckily has asked for things we have already got for her.
We are going to start getting bits a pieces of food in now, however I am not sure if it is a good idea as we drank 3 bottles of champagne and a bottle of wine last week which we were saving for christmas and dd has managed to eat 6 mince pies this weekend!
We have just about finished our christmas shopping, just the wrapping to do this week,we have written all our cards and all our decorations are down from the loft waiting to go up. Kieran has already put up his tree in his room and is just waiting to decorating it. :sunny:

I think this is because i am not in my own house as we are still with my MIL and FIL. Martyn and I are hoping to go to Manchester next sunday, we want to get it all done in one big shop. We got Lucy a loevly Ariel jewellery chest from Costso yesterday :)

I only received my shopping vouchers on Thursday, so DH and I went shopping on Saturday and yesterday, and only have my Mum and Dad to sort out now!! This is late for us, we usually have it all done at the start of November, as I usually have my vouchers then.
We have already bought cards, just the special ones to get now, and wrapping paper.
Santa presents are also all bought, just DD's bicycle to pick up this week and hide at my mum's house.
It's a really good feeling to have everything done, and be able to wander round the shops, looking at all the poor people rushing!!!
We are going out to a local Hotel for Christmas lunch, and will be at my mum's house on Boxing Day, so very little food to buy.

Actually i'm not that bothered, told DH that i didn't want to bother buying for everyone this year.Got the kid's so i'm quite happy. If i do get anything else fair enough but, i won't kill myself round th shops trying to get it all.

Notice there's no dancing santa's in my post and that's the way it's going to stay. :)

Got most of my christmas presents in Orlando (got my mother's birthday present there as well) Just got my nieces present and my sister got my nephew (they are all 12) the girls came up with the idea that I should get them a set of curling tongs for one and a hair straightener for the other so they could share them :lmao: I found a set with both and a hairdryer for £25 from argos so have got one each for them (that pair sharing :lmao: just wouldn't work) just got to get stocking presents for my mother and I am set. Its going to be silver and purple decorations this year.
