I have a BWV boardwalk view studio reserved for my December trip. We will be arriving around midnight. (School schedules!!) Are there any bad boardwalk view studios? I mean normally I do not like to arrive so late, thinking that I might get a bad assignment. Does a "bad" bwv studio exist?

Can't imagine where it would be, but I don't know what you consider bad. Best views (and there really isn't a lot of difference, IMHO) are from the rooms farthest away from the elevators. Don't know if there are any BW view studios on the ground floor.
I think you will be fine, even though you are arriving so late.

I suppose they have HA and smoking studios in that section, so if you don't want those there is a possibility that you could end up with one of those. But as for the view itself, I can't imagine a bad one in that category.

Is there ever a problem with the noise level near ESPN and Jellyrolls? That's my only concern about the Boardwalk view.

ESPN is not near the villas section, Jellyrolls is. I did have a 1 bedroom in June over the Big River Grill on the second floor and it was noisy at night. People out on the boardwalk talking. I remember one night someone screamed out a of room "it's 12:30, please be quiet!". I always put in a request for top floor. The first time we had a BW view, it was on the corner near the boat dock on the 5th floor, no noise problem. Last month my room was on the 4th floor above the store, I didn't hear much noise late.

This past July we were on the 4th floor right next to JellyRolls in room 4001 and it was actually quiet! I think the rooms above Big River & by the carnival games get much more noise than where we were at the end. We never heard the crowd at Jellyrolls at all. People really only stopped in our area during Illuminations and none were noisy. We'd love to have that room again. It was in great condition and the view was so awesome. We had a wonderful view of Illuminations top fireworks. :)
