Does anyone have ideas on how to receive the best rates for a 2 week rental?
I prefer to rent thru National or Avis.
Thanks!

Well, for a two week trip, what type of vehicle do you need?
We've gotten 8 day rentals of Full-Size SUV's and Luxury Cars for around $600 each. So, I'm guessing 14 day rentals would be close to $1000.

Well I don't know if this will help or not, but I have a 16 day rental for Las Vegas over the Christmas-New years holiday. Full size for $279.00 total. I originally started out about $400. Keep checking the rates are always changing and right now they are really high. Most of the coupons are not good for more than a week. What I did was take the full size, booked emerald aisle, so we may be able to get something better, used my Disney Club ID number and in the entertainment book there is a $20.00 off coupon that is good for up to 28 days or something like that. I still check every couple days. Just to see if it goes down anymore. Good Luck

Keep checking, include Travelocity.com in your search. Note that sometimes Economy costs less than Compact even though Compact is listed first.
You should not have to pay more than you would for two one week rentals. At least with National, if you have to book separate rentals for the two weeks (for example to use two coupons), you can go to the on-site station to check the car in and instantly check it out again.
Some credit card collision insurance benefits have a limit to the consecutive days. If this affects you you might have to do two one week rentals from different companies and send one person back to the airport to exchange cars, check the fine print in your credit card rules.
