Hi Robin!
We'll be in Sanford (next to Orlando) all day the 29th for a soap-box derby race. Want to try and make it a long week-end if we can.
Can think of nothing better than meeting ya'll for CMB pastries at IOA, courtesy of MIB9's, and then teaching him all our latest scoring techniques at a MIB shoot-off!!
Here's hoping the weather is better than a year ago on these dates! (I think we just missed you last year during that cold front)
Hi MG!!
If we promise ya'll a beach luau, will ya come?!

How about if we plan for December 30 as the official meet date? I will be galvanting around Universal on December 29 if anyone wants to come along. We can watch h20jag race in his soapbox too! :)
Is anyone going to be staying onsite? With it being Xmas week, I don't think I can afford it. Time to hit Priceline! :)

WOW!
This has really exploded since I turned off my computer last night!
I won't be onsite but at the Radisson across the street on the 30th and 31st. The 30th sounds GREAT.
Earl, we're coming looking for you! :smooth:
kelly, PLEASE try to make it! :bounce:
Molokai, that was EVIL! Going to the Beach in November!!! :o
h20jag, make it a LOOOOONG weekend!
stlrod, can I be a member of your family on your card? :D I'm sure I'll fit in!
MIB9s, I WILL be there at 9:30!<marquee>http://www.t1mo.com/forums/phpBB/images/smiles/spiderman.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/love.gif</marquee>

Oh Sure, nice you guys! My idea & I won't be in Orlando until Jan. 2nd!!
What's it like in IOA on NYE? I was thinking of going earlier but I will also have to find a great deal off-site. Let me know how you make out on hotel deals Barry.

Cheryl, Priceline is a great alternative. My friend got the Radisson across the street for about $20 a night! Even Barry, the King of the Cheap Hotels can give that the thumbs up!
In fact I think I'm going to bid again to get my son's friend and her Mom their own room fo those nights!
Thanks Robin,
I've always been afraid to use Priceline but I might try it. So far the cheapest I've found for those two nights is the Hampton Inn at $80.10. But I did notice lots of availability at most hotels which is unusual at this time of year so maybe rates will go down.

I don't see any good reason why I couldn't be there...so long as my two appendages are welcome?!
MrDisney will be tucked away in MA again, and the kiddies will be on a 17day vacation....I can think of nothing better than hooking up with some fellow DISers! :D
I may pretend we're not with Barry when he enters with his pork brains tho...I DO have a reputation to uphold! ;) (Ahem...no comments from the peanut gallery regarding my reputation...I haven't been here long enough to ruin it....yet....:D )

Awwwww, renee.... I miss 90% of the meets myself, I just keep saying to myself that darn Barry LIVES in Florida....
Karen, your appendages are ALWAYS welcome! Michael will be thrilled to have someone his age there. Usually Barry is the only kid he can hang out with.....
MsDisney,
how old are your sidekicks? I'll have two tagging along also. Mine are 5 & 14. Never know until last minute if the DH is coming, ya know work usually gets in the way! LOL
BTW, I live in the same town as the infamous Mr. Hom & have never met him!

My little appendages are 7 and 9...and it would be great if there were some other youngin's around cuz I always feel like a menace when I have kids with an all "adult" group...
(adult is in quotations for a VERY good reason here! :D )
Looking forward to another meet!

Awesome! You all can borrow my kids ANYTIME for these attractions...hey, anything I can do to help, you know!? :D Of course, you won't find me for a few hours...;)
MIB...now WHY would you think I was talking about you? You aren't the only "grownup" who runs repeatedly through the line for MIB, playing all day long! :D I don't think any of us are really "adult" do you? I wouldn't WANT to be one!
This sounds like it will end up being a nice meet! Better bring extra pork brains, Barry.... ;)

DS7 (thrill seeker extraordinaire) and I will be there but will have to leave to pick up (acronyms fail me, DGM+DSF?) at the airport midday. Of course, I could just arrange transport for them from airport to HIFS so I don't have to leave y'all...

Might there be a Nite Meet, or a Happy Hour Meet? Just found out our Soapbox Derby is the 29th AND the 30th.
Good thing the parks are open till 11 PM!
We'll be there no matter how much caffeine & geritol I gotta consume!!
( 9 yo DD will get her first nighttime Dragons & Hulk rides )
Jim
So can anyone meet after the 1st? Maybe just a quick night meet or something? It's not looking good getting there before the 2nd, (ya know that darn work thing again!) Just not into taking the kids by myself again!
Hey girls, my daughter is the perfect babysitting age for the young ones! LOL
BTW, will anyone be in Busch Gardens this weekend? I'm taking the kids this weekend, will it be decorated for Christmas or does it have anything special this time of year? Thanks.

Jim, We wish Camille luck. Have her wear a lei! I want to see her picture with the trophy!!!:bounce:
Do you have any of the chocolate covered coffee beans left - that will keep you up. ;)
You guys are all going to have such fun and there is no web cam to allow me to join....

Hi Donna!
It's truly a shame the web-cams there can't be maintained. (Always thought that was a fabulous marketing / sales tool!) We really wish ya'll could be here in person instead!!
Definitely will send some pics.
CPM - wish we coulda used your DD's sitter service, but we gotta head back the 31st. Will probably see ya'll around Mardi time!!
