Should I try and see the 5pm showing of the CP with my 22mth old? I'm not sure if he can sit through it all but I so want to see it? Or should I forget it and just go see Osborne lights at MGM? Does anyone know how much time it takes to see the lights? Thanks.

In terms of CP. We did it with our DD two years ago and stayed in the back area and let her dance around during the music...that way we didn't disturb anyone who did the packages. She liked it except for the talking part...ha! But it was fine -

In terms of the lights...you can spend as much or as little time as you want at them. Our girl loved them and we went back several times during our trip. I would recommend being there near the start time...there actually gets to be a line.
Have fun.

Skip the processional and enjoy the lights.

IMHO, the processional is highly overrated.

Thanks for your replies! I'll keep thinking about this til my 48h window to cancel the CP package! We usually have a candlelight service at church but won't be this year so wanted to do something special....and I can't wait to see the lights! Will try and go early esp since it's a EMH nite too...I can just see the crowds...ugh.

We really like CP but i would try for the next show just becaue the lights at it are so much prettier at night. if your little one is used to church, she should be fine at CP. We thought is was so special to slow down and reflect on the true meaing of Christmas.

Processional is very nice, but for us it was a did it once, no need to stand in line for it again type of thing. (I should add that if I didn't have a toddler with me this next trip, I would stand in line for it, but there is no way I'm taking a toddler.)
