Hey everyone, don't forget to update the spreadsheet with any cabin changes that you may have had.

It looks like a lot of us are going to Sea Grapes beach on Grand Cayman.

last year we arrived a little after 10, and the terminal was empty. so finding each other should be somewhat simple. on one side of the terminal is all the check in counters, on the other side is the tv/sofa area. from the center of the terminal, facing the tv/sofa area, lets plan on taking over the whole far left end. maybe we could have some sort of marker (balloons?) to help those who arrive later.

This is a great idea. I think many of us are getting there pretty early. We'll check in and then head over to meet everyone!

We keep listening to "Boat Drinks" by Jimmy Buffet. It is pretty fitting. "I gotta go where it's warm..."

I have been checking out the port forcasts as well! Glad I am not the only one. Last year, same week, it was cloudy, rainy, and chilly all of the way down to Grand Cayman. I think we saw the sun all of two hours the entire trip! This year looks much more promising! It was only about 60 and rainy in Key West, so 71 sounds wonderful! I am packing lots of sunscreen so bring on the sun! :cool2: See everyone soon!

The spreadsheet is something Tony put together so we can all add our info (staterooms, excursions, kids ages, etc). Contact Tony if you want to be added. We are also planning on meeting at the couch area in the terminal (facing the couches, meeting at the far left) if you are going to get there early like most of us are.

So to everyone...I am assuming we are not doing a kid gift exchange? Or Fish Extender gifts? I am not planning on it, as I had not heard anything in a while. I will just enjoy meeting everyone!!

Thanks for these updates! I am SO looking forward to being in these temps. Last week we had a low of -55 F with wind chills in the -60s!! Yes, you are reading correctly...-60 F.

We are 95% packed. We have a few last minute things to throw in before we head for the airport in a couple days but are loading the suitcases in the car tonight. That's a major accomplishment, as I am usually up until 2am packing before a big trip. But I've just been up until 1-2am the past few nights instead!!

A couple of showers and a few clouds but mostly! :sunny:

Tevagirl, thanks for the nice note! Sorry we didn't meet in person. I did get a chance to meet our bride Judy, though.

We rebooked onboard, so looks like we'll be heading out again.

Did you have a good time?

Judy came down to our cabin yesterday morning to say hello. I'm so glad she had nice weather for the wedding.

Glad to hear everyone had a great time onboard. Sorry we didn't ge to meet up with everyone....that first day was pretty crazy, it was hard for us to 'get' to the Mickey pool. DS pretty much kept us busy at the games (shuffle board, foosball, and ping-pong), he wasn't even remotely interested in going close to the pool, and actually refused to even eat by the Mickey Pool. That's funny, last time we couldn't drag him out of that thing......do they grow up fast or what!?!? Before we knew it, it was time for the Mandatory Drill and Sail Away party.

Anyhow....did we have the best weather yet or what!!! We had a great time. DS had alot of fun. Food was excellent and service was fantastic. For those that have been to PALO and made it back for more......did you think the food was even better than before. We truly enjoyed both meal there (dinner & brunch), I'm glad we decided to try brunch again because it was much better than I remembered it.

We too booked while onboard...booked for Dec 2009, but will probaly move the date out when the schedule opens up. And we were bit by ADD-ON-ITIS, for you DVC'ers out there YOU KNOW what I'm talking about. We just couldn't resist AKV, that place looks amazing. We truly needed more points anyhow:rotfl2: , actually we did. Our little family of 3 made the mistake of staying in a ONE BR, when we typically stay in a STUDIO. It's not been the same ever since. So, we purchased enough to move up to the ONE BR for every stay now. Sure will be nice....not to mention we're getting to the point where we will probaly have to start taking a friend for DS.

We have always enjoyed the food and found it to be excellent. However, we have also found that the additions or changes to the menu are usually exceptionally good. So we very much enjoyed the food once again!

Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up with everyone. We had a great time. We loved our table mates, had a great time on our dives. The wind in Key West on Sunday kind of limited our outing that day, but we still had a good time. Our pictures are posted for anyone who is interested.

Hey all! What a great cruise! I think this may have been the best of the three. I think the food and service was the best this time.

It was great to meet everyone who was able to make it to one of the meets. We ended up seeing Brian, Ian and Jackie and their families the most. Jackie's family ended up being our dinner mates! The kids enjoyed each other's company which made for a fun dinner.

Thanks for the sail away pics Andy! :goodvibes

We did rebook for 8/15/09 but that may be pushed out another year. We'll have to see.

Hi everyone ...the blushing bride here ..back at last !!:lovestruc

....blushing because I did not get to meet all of you ....I wasn't trying to avoid buying those drinks guys HONEST !!! :guilty:

...we were at the Mickey pool at 2pm the first day, but could I get the kids away ......heck no :headache: ........we only just made it to our room in time for the safety drill !

It did not help that I'd left my handy spreadsheet behind in the UK either, and that the internet on the ship was so S-L-O-W ...unsurprising, since it cost 75cents a minute..... and it was taking me almost $10 a time just to get logged onto my email page, let alone trying to surf these boards for information - forget it ! .

Well, I did get to meet some of you (albeit on the last day in some cases), and I'm really sorry if I didn't get to meet everyone.

We had a great day on our wedding ......couldn't have had a more perfect day :cloud9: ....even though I'd been up half the night kicking myself for not packing an umbrella, because the cruise director Christain had told me it was forecast for 40% chance of rain, for our big day on Grand Cayman :scared1:

Luckily, that information prooved incorrect, and we had clear blue skies and crystal green seas ....a fabulous wedding service at Grand Old House witnessed by Etmom and her family (who I have to thank for giving me the information about the place in the first place).
Afterwards we had a fantastic meal (you MUST try that place if you ever go back - it was wonderful) followed by a dip in the sea in the full wedding attire - crazy and fun .....the kids didn't need any encouragement I can tell you !

Sorry I've no pictures yet from our photographer, but I will post them when I do !!!

Hope you had good journeys home - what a great cruise.:cheer2:

Hi everyone!! We made it back to Canada safe and sound (and exhausted--got to our airport hotel at 2am with 3 screaming little ones!!). Happy to report that the weather here was in the 30's--so nice to come home to!! It was so nice meeting many of you!! I really enjoyed meeting my fellow disboarders--what a nice way to start off our cruise.

We also had a great week, probably our best cruise yet, and we did rebook onboard also.

Unfortunately, we had a rough time after our cruise. We did Epcot, and were hoping to do MK and AK, but my two oldest girls came down with a NASTY flu and were very sick (my oldest one still is) so we will have to do the parks another time!! We bought the extension so we won't have to lose out on those tickets.

Again, so nice meeting you guys! Talk to you later :)

Hey, you reminded me ........I was really poorly straight after the cruise too. I woke up the morning of disembarkation with a sore throat and felt really, really sick all day.

By early evening I was running hot & cold, and felt so ill I had to go to bed....thank goodness for the kids camp at the Omni Hotel !!

I took paracetamol over the next few days and did improve greatly ....but I was left wondering if I'd picked up some bug off the ship :confused3

I'd say it's a good possibility. Sherri and I both came home with cold/flu symptoms as well (congestion, runny nose, feeling like you have a fever even though the thermometer says you don't)
