Does anyone have any easy easy appetizers recipes that do not require cheese?

How about lettuce wraps? or caramelized onions in a quesadilla with refried black beans or grilled beef or chicken.

Are you trying to avoid all dairy or just cheese? You could make a shrimp or crab salad and serve it in little phyllo shells. Also, are you looking for fancy or kid friendly?

Here's one of my all-time favorites. It is very popular and very tasty!
Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties
INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 French baguette, cut into 1/2 inch thick circles
1 cucumber, sliced
2 teaspoons dried dill weed
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, dressing mix and mayonnaise.
Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture on a slice of bread, and top with a slice of cucumber. Sprinkle with dill. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
I typically use fresh dill and end up needing about 2 tbsp. when I do. These are incredibly fast and easy to make in addition to being quite tasty!
