I was thinking about it... but want to make sure I have the time to commit to it before applying! Don't want to start something I can't finish! I don't like doing that.. .It makes me very guilty!! LOL!! :)

Well, they give us a week to complete the challenges, so I think that we should try to make a go of it! Come on, it will be fun! When Gabby isn't home, which is about 3 weeks out of the month, I have about 3 hours of free time to kill after work that is only interrupted by dog walking and the occasional phone call from Gabby.

I used to love building websites with basic HTML and a little JavaScript, but it's been years. I used to be a webmaster of the GLBT board for WebTv users and a moderator of a WebTV Usenet group. So, this challenge sounds like it would be a good challenge and some of my old skills might get a chance to be dusted off.

I applied, and listed this section as one of my choices. Although being a newbie, I dont know how good my chances are at being accepted.

I wondered about the time commitment, since it really doesn't say. But I work retail and often have one or two days off during the week, during which I sit at home playing on the computer anyways.

I have very little html experience............and what I do know.....Ive taught myself. I used to have a website (but gave it up) and now just have and run a blog.

But this looks fun and exciting. Hope I get picked to play.

ETA: Sounds like we would have a really well-rounded team if we got picked! Some with experience with web design, and some without so much(myself included in the latter). But the celebs on the CB who were doing the big lead-in to the contest were assuring users over there that you DO NOT have to be an expert web-designer to participate and have a good time. Anything that we don't know/need to know will be available to us as we go. :thumbsup2

GF and I were thinking of applying, too (I think we still have time to apply, right??) We've been sitting around trying to figure out what our "skills" are ... we've decided that I'm a computer whiz and GF is a creative genius... (so we like to think) -- I'm also curious how many people per team. Would we all be allowed to participate?

I was so wanting to play, but like others, wasn't sure where my true strengths for the game might lie...I'm a great multi-tasker and have lots of free time these days since my hours with work keep getting cut back...ain't it gonna be a merry Christmas?
