Off-topic randomness - a place to ramble?

This really happened to me the other day. It's so bad I thought I'd share it. Have a good laugh at my expense! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The set up:

My friend just had both of her knees replaced (Please refrain from singing, "Be oblong and have your knees removed." I have resisted the urge so far. :rotfl2: ) I wanted to talk to her sister before visiting my friend to let her know I was going to buy the items my friend had requested. I couldn't reach her sister at home or on her cell phone so I assumed she was already on the road. My friend's sister usually calls when she is close to her destination so you know when to expect her to arrive.

What happened or you know you're getting old when...:

I was driving on the highway, listening to some loud music (not of the elevator sort, it was probably Gogol Bordello) when I heard my cell phone ringing. I figured it must be my friend's sister trying to reach me. I quickly turned down the music and began blindly groping around on the passenger seat for my cell phone so I could keep my eyes on the road. I don't know how long this took but suddenly I realized... I don't even have a cell phone! Not only that, I have NEVER had a cell phone! I think I've use a cell phone all of maybe twice! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

My husband insists I made this up but I didn't. Please excuse me while I search for my missing brain.

Why hasn't anyone ever noticed the brilliance that is oreo? Oreos are the best Cookies ever! After all, there is a song about them....

I had one of the best salads I've ever eaten tonight. I was trying to figure out what to do for dinner and husband came home and said, "let's go OUT!" We haven't gone out alone for months without the girls. I had a steak salad and it sounds really strange, but it was SOOO good. They put the steak on a skewer and placed it by the big salad that was topped with crunchy fried onions. MMmmmmm

Found these things called sniglets, here are few

Bovilexia (bo vil eks' e uh) - n. The uncontrollable urge to lean out the car window and yell "Moo!" every time you pass a cow.( i think i have this)
Bazookacidal Tendencies (bah zew' kuh sy dal ten' den seez) - n. The overwhelming desire of most individuals to reach out and pop the gigantic gum bubble billowing from someone's mouth.
Bumperglints (bump' ur glintz) - n. The small reflective obstacles in the middle of interstate highways which supposedly keep drivers awake and on track.
Choconiverous - adj. Biting off the head of the chocolate Easter bunny first.
Cinemuck - n. The combination of popcorn, soda, and melted chocolate which covers the floors of movie theaters.
Droot (drewt) - n. A Dorito with an unnatural fold in it.
Phonesia (fo nee' zhuh) - n. The affliction of dialing a phone number and forgetting whom you were calling just as they answer.

I forget the actor's name that would do the Sniglet segment each week, but oh how we waited for this new vocabulary lesson! LOL My family's favorite Sniglet is Eastroturf - n. Although it seems like a million years ago that I played, I will miss VMK and all the fun at closing we used to have but most of all I will miss my friends. My life has gotten so full in the last couple of years and I never have time to get to a computer but I just wanted to say hi to all my Dis and VMK friends!:yay:
