DVC Members DDP & DDE

We are DVC members and are using the DDP for the 1st time over our 8 nights for Xmas and New Years, I had read that they make you pre-pay and if you are adding it on thru a DVC reservation you do not pre-pay and there's no penalty to cancel as long as it is before your check in day. :thumbsup2

We had DDE for the last 2 years and we were told that we are able to use our DDE card to get 20% off any addtional things we may purchase at any meal like alcoholic drinks :drinking1 . Has anyone ever had any trouble doing this before????

I'm so excited to use this plan we spend so much on meals i feel like i'm stealing meals on this! :p

Yes you are correct & they will give you a seperate bill for any items not included in the plan :drinking1 along with your DDE discount

We used both the DDP and DDE on our last trip to WDW (Aug. 06). Just let your server know you are using the DDE for anything not included in the DDP. They will keep a separate bill for alcohol or any extras.

Check the rules for the DDE - IIRC, you are not allowed to use it on major holidays or on packages (like Fantasmic or Candelight Processional).

As long as you aren't trying to use the DDE on a blackout date or a special package, you shouldn't have any trouble using it.
