Hi all. I am new here, so please bear with me.
We are planning a trip to Disney World Orlando next year. :goodvibes Weatherwise, when is the best time to go?? We don't want it to be too hot but we don't want to be freezing our buns off, either. Being from Canada, we get enough of that. LOL
Also, has anyone ever gone to the Super Soap Week-End? What is that like? Lots of crowds???

We like the end of September. The crowds have died down because every one in the states (kid-wise) is back in school. The summer oppresive heat has burned off but it is still warm enough to go to the water parks and the the theme parks are still open a little later than in October or November

I always like October. Not too hot and you can go to Food and Wine at Epcot during your stay.

I usually go the first weekend in Nov, or the last in Oct. The weather is pretty nice. Right now its in the high 70s and beautiful.

During this time, you can do Food and Wine at Epcot AND the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom if you plan it well.

Another vote for October. Still swimming weather but not too hot. You can also enjoy Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.

I've only gone in the summer my previous three times and just went last month. But I have to admit, I like going in October. There's no humidity to worry about and the crowds are not as bad as they are in the summer.

It also depends on whether or not you want to go during a holiday season. I told my DH that next time I would love to go during the Christmas season and see the decorations.

Also don't forget, Disney lists prices for different times of the year; value, regular, peak and holiday seasons.

We went the week of Labor Day this year. It was warm enough to go to a waterpark and there were no crowds.

We went to WDW once in September of 1999 and we got stuck in a hurricane warning. It was the first time they closed everything except some of AK. We filled our tubs with water and they passed out flashlights. No more in September.
Now the last two trips have been in Feb and we love it. The weather is a little iffy so we layer clothes but there aren't any lines or crowds. This will be our 4th trip and our third trip in Feb. I believe it is like 79 days and we will be there. I am very excited. It is value season so the prices are a little bit better. Seriously consider Feb. I am a little concerned that as word gets out Feb might start getting busier. HA!

I remember that hurricane. That was year I was geting married and it hit here in NY on 9/16 - two days before my wedding! Thanfully our wedding day was sunny and warm :)

We went this past June and it was HOT!!! We are from MA, so we are also comfortable with cooler temps. We are going in Feb., so hopefully the weather will be more comfortable. We weren't able to do as much as we hoped because DS7 would just fade after 2 hours in a park, especially AK.ave fun, whatever you decide.

Our first trip (with kids) was over Thankgiving and that was pretty crowded...the weather was nice. Warm days( high 70's), cool evenings. Seeing the lights for the holidays was beautiful. Last trip was the last week of Sept. The weather was a little warmer than I expected...90's and still a little humid..but still loved it. There was almost no crowd, our longest wait was 20 mins for Soarin.
When ever you decide have a great time.

Even though the weather can be iffy, my favorite time to go is early December. I'm from Minnesota so even when it's 60 degrees (which is usually in the evening) it's still a pleasant change from home. If you celebrate Christmas and enjoy the holiday season, it is absolutely the most beautiful time there. Although I think they have started putting the Christmas decor up even before the Thanksgiving holiday so November might be a bit better weather-wise. The lines at the parks are really short too. Just some food for thought. Good luck with your planning!
